Dino Klisura (born September 16, 1999), better known by his stage name Shiye is a musician and producer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. His music career started in DJ-ing EDM, and Big room, and Electro house music but since then, it turned to music production and hip-hop. He is one of the pioneers of Bosnian new wave hip-hop.
He was born in Sarajevo in 1999. His interest in music started in his early years and his first breakthrough in the world of music happened in his high school, when he was mentored by Rijad Fazlić, AKA Kolateral, [1] the late legend of underground Bosnian rap. Since then, his interests in electronic music grew and he published his first album "Silhouette" in 2018. After spending some time DJ-ing in Bosnia and Turkey, his interests turn to production where he established his brand making albums for Ex-Yu musicians/rappers such as Vahid Saltaga AKA Loga [2] and Vuk Cvetković AKA WoO69. His newest album "Equinox" [3] started as a collaboration with fellow musicians but quickly grew into a bigger project in which Dino not only made music but lyrics also, and sang in three languages: Bosnian, German, and English. His interest in electronic music continued on his academic studies of IT, a science which he used to travel around the world.
Shiye's first album, Silhouette, brings a heritage from such legends of electronic music as Hardwell, but also brings his own brand and brand of music that marked his childhood as alternative rock, hip-hop, and electro music. His later music, including the newest album Equinox, is mostly influenced by the European hip-hop scene, especially hip-hop from Marseille, France, and Austrian rap from Vienna. Songs he sings are grounded in life and ordinary subjects such as working far away from home, homesickness, dreams of enrichment, sociopolitical views of a man from the street. In his music, you can hear the influence of Linkin Park, JuL, and RAF Camora. But the biggest influence was, by his own words his mentor Kolateral, Rijad Fazlic, the deceased music producer of Sarajevo's music scene. [1]

Like the surrounding Balkan countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina has had a turbulent past marked by frequent foreign invasions and occupation. As a result, Bosnian music is now a mixture of Slavic, Turkish, Central European, Mediterranean, and other influences.
Electro is a genre of electronic music and early hip hop directly influenced by the use of the Roland TR-808 drum machines, and funk. Records in the genre typically feature drum machines and heavy electronic sounds, usually without vocals, although if vocals are present they are delivered in a deadpan manner, often through electronic distortion such as vocoding and talkboxing. This is the main distinction between electro and previously prominent genres such as disco, in which the electronic sound was only part of the instrumentation. It also palpably deviates from its predecessor boogie for being less vocal-oriented and more focused on electronic beats produced by drum machines.

Adnan Hamidović, better known by his stage name Frenkie, is a Bosnian rapper from Tuzla. The themes present in his music are often concerned with the political situation in Bosnia, as well as traditional hip-hop subject matter such as battle rapping and pop culture. He was one of the pioneers for graffiti and hip hop culture in Bosnia. As of 2022, he has recorded seven successful full-length albums to date: Odličan CD (2005), Povratak Cigana (2007), Protuotrov (2009), Troyanac (2012), Putanja (2016) recorded in Berlin,Egzil (2017) recorded in Tokyo, album 2020(2019) recorded in Los Angeles, and Stari Frenkie (2021). He also released extended plays Pokreni se (2008) (2016), #DNA ep with Billain (2014), and a Bosnian only released album DOSTA! (2006).
"Planet Rock" is a song by the American hip hop artists Afrika Bambaataa and the Soul Sonic Force. The song was produced by Arthur Baker and released by Tommy Boy Records in 1982. The recording came together after DJ and producer Baker met with Bambaataa and the two bonded over the idea of creating a song about their mutual appreciation for the band Kraftwerk. Baker and Bambaataa had worked together previously on the song "Jazzy Sensation" and decided to compose a more electronic based version of the hip hop song, as opposed to the more disco-oriented work popular at the time. Along with musician John Robie, the group recorded the single at Intergalactic Studios in New York. Robie duplicated the sound on the record and had Bambaataa's rappers in the Soul Sonic Force rap over it. To create the raps, the lyricist of the group, Emcee G.L.O.B.E., had to develop a style he called "mc popping", which involved rapping off time, an unusual style at the time.

Maja Sarihodžić, known by her stage name Maya Sar, is a Bosnian singer-songwriter. She represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Korake ti znam". Her debut album Krive riječi was released 1 June 2013.
Jasmin Fazlić, known by his stage name Jala Brat, is a Bosnian rapper and hip-hop recording artist, songwriter and producer. He is best known for collaborating with another Bosnian rapper Buba Corelli.
Croatian hip hop is a genre of music, and a culture that covers a variety of styles of hip hop music made in Croatia. Croatian hip hop was originally influenced by the American hip hop scene and introduced to Croatia in the mid-1990s. Croatian hip hop, particularly that originating from Rijeka and Zagreb in the 1990s, was mainly concentrated on social issues due to the corruptive system of government at the time. In the 2000s, Croatian hip hop started becoming more mainstream and it spread to Split developing its own hip hop style.

Goran Valka known by his stage name Franco Balkan, is a Bosnian rapper and hip hop recording artist, songwriter and producer. He gain his popularity among younger audience after the release of his first singles and studio album Superstar. Also, he was nominated for 2020 Music Awards Ceremony.
