Yugoslavia at the 1996 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Athletes from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States. These Games were the first Olympic appearance of Montenegrin and Serbian athletes under the Flag of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the continuation of the use of Yugoslavia as a designation. The nation was not allowed to participate at the 1992 Summer Olympics because of international sanctions. Several Yugoslav athletes competed as Independent Olympic Participants at those Games. New Yugoslavia participated in thirteen sports: athletics, basketball, canoe/kayak, diving, fencing, judo, shooting, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting, and wrestling.

Master Chief Petty Officer Sanjeev Rajput is an Arjuna Awardee Indian sport shooter from Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. He was a retired Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Navy.

Independent Olympic Participants at the 1992 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

During the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, athletes from Yugoslavia and Macedonia competed as independent Olympic participants. Macedonian athletes could not appear under their own flag because their NOC had not been formed. Yugoslavia was under United Nations sanctions which prevented the country from taking part in the Olympics. Individual Yugoslav athletes were allowed to take part as independent Olympic participants.

Men's 50 metre rifle prone was one of the fifteen shooting events at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Christian Klees shot a perfect 600 in the qualification round and set a new World record after 104.8 points in the final. With an even better final round, Sergey Belyayev surpassed Jozef Gönci to win the silver medal.

Sally Johnston is a competitive sport shooter from New Zealand. She started shooting in 1983 with her first international competition in 1995 at the Oceania Championships in Auckland. Johnston placed eighth in the 50m rifle three positions and ninth in the 10m air rifle. In 1997 she beat her personal bests in all three events at the Oceania Championships in Adelaide where she placed fourth in the 50m rifle prone, tenth in the 10m air rifle and eleventh in 50m rifle three positions event.

Shooting sports have been contested at the Commonwealth Games at every games since 1966 with the exception of the 1970 Commonwealth Games. Events were open until they were segregated by gender in 1994 for pistol and most rifle events and in 2002 for trap and skeet events; the full bore rifle competitions remained open.

The men's 50 metre rifle prone shooting event at the 2011 Pan American Games was held on October 19 at the Jalisco Hunting Club in Guadalajara. The defending Pan American Games champion is Thomas Tamas of the United States.

Jennifer McIntosh Scottish sport shooter and fantasy author

Jennifer McIntosh is a Scottish sports shooter and fantasy author. McIntosh is the daughter of four-times Commonwealth Games medalist Shirley McIntosh and Donald McIntosh, and the elder sister of British shooter Seonaid McIntosh.

Dane Sampson is an Australian sports shooter. He competed in the 10 metre air rifle, 50 metre rifle three positions and 50 metre rifle prone events at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Péter Sidi is a Hungarian sport shooter. He has been world champion in the 50 m rifle 3 positions, as well as winning silver medals in the 300 m rifle prone and the men's 10 metre air rifle. He has also won bronze medals in the 50 metre rifle 3 positions and the 50 m rifle prone team event. He currently holds the qualification world record in 10 m Air Rifle.

Ryan Taylor is a New Zealand rifle shooter. He competed in the 50 m rifle prone event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he placed 25th.

Park Bong-Duk is a South Korean sport shooter. He won two bronze medals in the men's 50 m rifle three positions at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand, and at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, with scores of 1,247 and 1,256.8 points, respectively. He also competed for two rifle shooting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but he neither reached the final round, nor claimed an Olympic medal.

Pakistan at the 2014 Commonwealth Games Sporting event delegation

Pakistan participated at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The Pakistan Olympic Association announced that its delegation for the games would consist of 62 athletes in 11 sports, but only 48 competed. Pakistan participated in badminton, boxing, gymnastics, judo, lawn bowling, shooting, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling.

The qualification round of Men's 50 metre rifle three positions event at 2014 Commonwealth Games will start at morning of 29 July 2014 at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre, while the final will be held in the evening at the same place.

The Men's 50 metre rifle prone shooting event at the 2015 Pan American Games will be held on July 17 at the Pan Am Shooting Centre in Innisfil.

Slovenia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics Sporting event delegation

Slovenia competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. Sports they qualified athletes to compete at included shooting.

The Men's 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on 10 April at the Belmont Shooting Centre, Brisbane.

The 52nd ISSF World Shooting Championships were held in Changwon, South Korea from 2 to 14 September 2018.
