Short Circuit is a concept album by Japanese music production unit I've Sound, released on November 27, 2003. It is the first in the Short Circuit album series, centering on their denpa songs. The album contains songs from various adult PC games and CDs, several of them being album versions, and two new original songs. Kotoko and Kaori Utatsuki sing the majority of the songs on the album, while there is one group song performed by Kotoko, Aki and Rimikka.

Kotoko is a Japanese J-pop musician, singer and songwriter from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Kotoko began her singing career as a member of I've Sound in 2000, and was later signed to Rondorobe under Geneon from 2004 to 2010. Kotoko left Geneon in 2010, left I've Sound and signed to Warner Home Video in 2011. She composes and writes lyrics for numerous other song collections. She has contributed songs to numerous anime and video games including Please Teacher!, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Hourglass of Summer, Hayate the Combat Butler, Kannazuki no Miko, Shakugan no Shana, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, To Love-Ru, Accel World, Phantasy Star Online and Argevollen, among others.
I've Sound, or simply called I've, is a Japanese techno/trance music production group based in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan. Led by Kazuya Takase, it features the talents of seasoned "sound creators" and many different vocalists, known as utahime (歌姫) to their fans.
Mami Kawada is a former Japanese pop singer and lyricist who was signed to NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan and also a member of I've Sound, a musical group which produces soundtracks for eroge and anime.

Itazura na Kiss is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Kaoru Tada. Itazura na Kiss was first serialized and published in 1990 by Shueisha through Bessatsu Margaret magazine. It became successful very quickly and became the manga series that Tada became known for in Japan. The manga became so popular that three live TV series have been made so far in 1996, 2005, and 2010, with a sequel of the 2005 drama in late 2007. In 2013, a remake of the Japanese live TV series, called Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo, was made. Despite its success, the manga was never completed due to the unexpected death of the author in a house accident while she was moving to another house with her husband and son. However the manga series continues to be published with the permission of the artist's widower.

"Re-sublimity" is Kotoko's second maxi single under Geneon Entertainment, released on November 17, 2004. The title track was used as an opening theme for the anime series Kannazuki no Miko while "Agony", its B-side, was used as the ending theme. "Suppuration -core-" was used as a soundtrack for the anime and a rearrangement of the song "Suppuration" appears in her Hane Live Tour 2004 Limited Album. The single peaked at number eight on the Oricon charts and charted for 12 weeks. Since it sold 50,119 copies, this is considered Kotoko's best selling single.
I've Sound is a team of Japanese music producers based in Hokkaido. Their discography comprises twelve compilation albums, one EP, four remix albums, one remix single, four music video DVDs, three concert DVDs, a making-of DVD, and a movie DVD. This does not take into account the individual works by their vocalists and related musical acts, for whom they have produced numerous albums and singles.

Short Circuit II is a concept album by the Japanese music production unit I've Sound, released on June 22, 2007. It is the second album in the Short Circuit series, centering on their denpa songs. The album is a compilation of songs from various adult PC games and three new originals. Kotoko and Kaori Utatsuki are the main vocalists of the album, although there is a duet between Kotoko and Eiko Shimamiya. It comes with a DVD containing a music video clip of the song "↑Seishun Rocket↑" covered by Kotoko and Utatsuki, who also appear in the music video. This version of the song was not included on the CD itself, but was later recorded on the I've Mania Tracks Vol.II album.

I've Mania Tracks Vol.I is a compilation album by Japanese music production unit I've Sound. It was released on December 29, 2007 at the Winter 2007 Comic Market event, sold as a set with the Short Circuit II Premium Show in Tokyo DVD. It is a compilation of songs whose original sound source they were unable to include in the main Girls Compilation album series, and songs from now hard-to-find discs. The vocals on this album are performed C.G mix, Eiko Shimamiya, Inosuke Tsutsumi, Kotoko, Mami Kawada, Momo, Outer, and I've Special Unit.
Livetune is a Japanese electro band which formed in 2007 as a dōjin music circle signed to Toy's Factory. The band originally consisted of two members, Kz and Kajuki P, but Kajuki P left the band in March 2009. Livetune started out by making use of the Hatsune Miku singing synthesizer to produce vocals for songs submitted to the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website. The popularity of the songs led the band to release the independent album Re:package at Comiket 73 in December 2007. Livetune made its major debut with Victor Entertainment with the professional release of their Re:package album in August 2008, which was updated with more songs. Livetune began collaborating with other artists in 2009, and has since composed music for such artists as Kotoko, ClariS, Maon Kurosaki, and fellow dōjin musician Ryo of Supercell.
Larval Stage Planning (ラーバル ステージ プランニング) is a Japanese J-pop group formed in 2010 and is signed to Lantis. The group is also a member of the Sapporo-based music production group I've Sound.
