An 18- to 24-year-old heterosexual male, gay male or lesbian female, goes on three separate dates with three moms, who try to convince them to pick their son or daughter to date. The dater only meets the mother and makes their decision solely on their impression of the mother and her descriptions of her child.

The eight-part documentary series follows the lives of several parents and their child athletes, focusing on how they "struggle to excel in the highly stressful, competitive, "win at all costs" world of sports."

Teen Mom UK is a British reality television series set in the United Kingdom. It is a spin-off of the American franchise Teen Mom. It currently airs on MTV. The series was first announced in September 2016. It currently follows the lives of four British teenage mums who are trying to make it through motherhood. From July 2017, the series is shown in the U.S. under the name Teen Mum.
