Shyamal-Saumil is an Indian classical music duo formed in 1980 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, composed of the Gujarati singers, Shyamal Munshi and Saumil Munshi.
Saumil Munshi was born on September 5, 1960, and Shyamal Munshi was born on April 14, 1962, in Ahmedabad, India. Their passion for music and literature started at a young age through their school activities. The two participated in performances and competitions, reciting ghazals and poems. In 1973, they joined the Jagh Mag Mandal, where they performed a variety of music, from film songs to classical poetry.
In 1980, the duo gave their debut a solo performance, titled "Morpichch", a sold-out show. The shows were repeated in Kolkata and Mumbai, and over the course of the first 5 years, they gave 20 shows in 3 cities.
Shyamal-Saumil, in late 2000, launched "Swarsetu", a listeners forum, to promote "Sugam Sangeet" and "Kavya Sangeet".
In 2002, Shyamal-Saumil released a 6-album project called "Hastakshar", with each album containing songs by a different illustrious poet and lyricist. These poets were Tushar Shukla, Raman Patel, Ramesh Parekh, Suresh Dalal, and Umashankar Joshi, and for their songs, Shyamal-Saumil brought together 30 artists to create the project. The title song was sung by Jagjit Singh and other singers, which included Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shankar Mahadevan, Udit Narayan, Sadhana Sargam, Bhupendar Singh, and Shubha Joshi. Shreya Goshal sang her first Gujarati song on the album's track, "Aaj Maaru Mann".
In 2012, Swarsetu News Digest was launched by Shyamal-Saumil, a monthly magazine.
Aapnu Amdavad Surilu Amdavad was a 2011 project released to celebrate the heritage of the city of Ahmedabad. The music video features the then-Mayor of Ahmedabad, Asit Vora, and Indian cricketer, Parthiv Patel. It featured songs dedicated to the festival of kites, Uttarayan, and to Manekchowk, a city square in Ahmedabad.
In 2014, Shyamal-Saumil organized a 3-day music festival called Anushthaan. The event featured musicians and artists from Gujarat. The Times of India called the event a "spectacle for music-lovers." [1] In 2015 and 2016, the event was repeated. The events also included dance performances. Anushthaan also included several poets, stand-up comedians, and actors. In 2015, the event featured an LED floor, and in 2016, a cappella performance was presented.

Raghuveer Chaudhari is a novelist, poet and critic from Gujarat, India. He has also worked as a columnist for numerous newspapers, such as Sandesh, Janmabhumi, Nirikshaka and Divya Bhaskar. He was a teacher at the Gujarat University until his retirement in 1998. His most significant contributions have been in Gujarati language but he has also written Hindi articles. In 2019, he was awarded a D.Lit. by Gujarat University.

Yuva Gaurav Award is a literary honour conferred by Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, Government of Gujarat. Established in 2007, the award recognizes and promotes young Gujarati authors. The award comprises a certificate, shawl and a cash prize of ₹50,000.
Esha Dadawala is a Gujarati language poet and journalist from Gujarat, India. Her significant works include Vartaro (2008), Kya Gai Ae Chhokri (2011) and Janmaro (2013). She has won Yuva Gaurav Award of 2013 for her contribution in Gujarati literature.
The Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar, also known as Sahitya Gaurav Award, is a literary honour in Gujarat, India. He is the recipient of the Jayant Pathak Puraskar (1985), Critic's award (1986), Kavishwar Dalpatram Award (2013), Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar (2015), Narsinh Mehta Award (2018), Kalapi Award (2018), Darshak Sahitya Sanman Award (2021), Narmad Suvarna Chandrak (2022) and Sahitya Akademi Award (2023).
Harsh Brahmbhatt is a Gujarati language poet and writer from Gujarat, India. He has also made significant contributions to the Urdu ghazal form. He is a recipient of several awards, including the Shayda Award, Kalapi Award, Kumar Suvarna Chandrak and Dhanji Kanji Gandhi Suvarna Chandrak.
Bhikhudan Govindbhai Gadhvi is an Indian folk singer and songwriter, known as a proponent of Dayro, a narrative singing tradition of Gujarat. He is a recipient of the Gujarat Gaurav Award of the Government of Gujarat and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to folk music.

Mission Mummy, is a 2016 Indian children and family drama film, written and directed by Ashish Kakkad and produced by Nigam Shah, Divyesh Mehta & Sugam Shah. It stars Aarti Patel, Raj Vazir, Satyam Sharma, Aashna Mehta & Saumya Shah in lead roles. This is the second film by Ashish Kakkad, after Better Half. Mission Mummy is produced under the banner of Virtual Entertainment. It is also co-produced by Ashish Kakkad. The story of the film is based on a book by Dhiruben Patel. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Dipak Soliya and Ashish Kakkad. The film celebrates the idea of "being Gujarati" and hence poet and lyricist Tushar Shukla was approached for a song portraying the love for the mother tongue.
Raam Mori is a Gujarati language short story writer, Screenwriter and columnist from Gujarat, India, primarily known for his short stories depicting the rural life of Saurashtra. Mahotu is an anthology of his short stories, which received Sahitya Akademi's Yuva Puraskar (2017).

Pandit Shivkumar Shukla was an Indian classical vocalist of the Bhendibazaar gharana. A recipient of the 1992 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, he was known for his works in Khayal form of Hindustani classical music. He was a disciple of Indian classical vocalist and composer Ustad Aman Ali Khan. Shukla was known as "Sangeet Rasraj", a title which was given to him by Pandit Omkarnath Thakur.

Since then, she has released many popular songs and has performed at various events in India and abroad.
