It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Ciężkowice, 31 km (19 mi) south of Tarnów, and 77 km (48 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków. [1]

The town is located on regional road nr. 977, it also has a rail station, on a line which goes from Tarnów to the Slovak border crossing at Leluchów.
