Silent Majority Group is a record label founded in 2006 by former Creed, Alter Bridge, and Sevendust artist manager Jeff Hanson that concentrates on finding and developing up-and-coming alternative, rock and pop acts such as Framing Hanley and Brother Sundance, as well as providing a home for established acts such as Candlebox and Tantric. The label also provides artist and producer management. SMG is promoted and distributed by both Kobalt / Awal and ADA/Warner Music Group.

Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and rhythm guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and lead guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997, which sold only 310 copies in its first week but ultimately achieved gold certification through touring and support from their label, TVT Records.

Planetfest was a music festival staged yearly by what used to be WPLA Planet Radio 107.3 in Jacksonville, Florida at Metropolitan Park. It was started in 1999 and, with the exception of 2001, has continued every year since then. The show is known for its relatively low ticket prices for the large number of national and local bands. The event featured some of the biggest names in indie rock and attendance has grown each year.

Rock Gone Wild was to be a four-day rock festival, focusing on hard rock, heavy metal and glam rock from four different decades. The inaugural event was scheduled to take place August 20–23, 2009, in Algona, Iowa. The festival was originally slated to take place at the Freedom Park festival ground, and was moved to the Diamond Jo Casino festival grounds before it was eventually cancelled altogether.

Spider Rockets is an American rock band formed in New Jersey, United States, by band members Helena Cos and Johnny Nap. They have been compared to such acts as Halestorm, No Doubt, Soundgarden, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and L7. Originally formed in 1998, the group has released Flipped Off (2000), which debuted in CMJ's Top 20 radio adds, and Ever After (2007), which debuted in CMJ's Loud Rock adds. and the self-titled Spider Rockets (2009). Jeff Hanson is an artist / producer manager, having founded JHMP in 1997. Record company executive & A&R consultant, and founder and chief of the Silent Majority Group label. He got his start as a classic alternative DJ, club owner, and concert promoter. He is the former manager of Creed, Paramore, Alter Bridge and Sevendust, and the company JHMP currently manages Veio, Lotus Crush, and Terry McDermott(Runner up on The Voice) and producer Peter Klett(Candlebox). The new Nashville office, under the name RCKSTRS INC. manages Cordell Winter, Lucid Illusion, Scotty Austin and Producer Malcolm Springer. In 2006 he set up the independent Orlando, Florida-based label Silent Majority Group, which has released albums from Framing Hanley, Candlebox, Tantric, Brother Sundance, Blacklite District, One Day Alive, and Veio.
