Silent Voices is a Finnish progressive metal band from Kokkola, Finland. [1] [2] It was formed in 1995 by Henrik Klingenberg (keyboards), Pasi Kauppinen (bass), Timo Kauppinen (guitars), and Jukka-Pekka Koivisto (drums). A few years after their formation, the lineup saw the addition of Michael Henneken on vocals, who left in 2006. In September 2013, the band announced that their new singer was Teemu Koskela (Winterborn), [3] and in May 2014 founding member Jukka-Pekka Koivisto left and was replaced with Jani "Hurtsi" Hurula (Isänta Meidän). [4]

Contents

The band has published an EP (with Klingenberg on vocals) and four studio albums, [5] [6] and are currently in the process of promoting their fourth [7] and are touring whenever possible. [8] [9] [10]

Their latest album Reveal The Change was released on November 29, 2013 in Europe and December 03 in North America. [11]

Henrik Klingenberg

Henrik "Henkka" Klingenberg is a Finnish keyboardist, keytarist and singer. He joined the Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica in late 2002 and currently resides in Kemi, Finland, when not on tour.

The Aarne Honkavaara trophy is an ice hockey trophy given by the Finnish Liiga to the player who scores the most goals during regular season play.

The Jarmo Wasama Memorial Trophy is an ice hockey award given by the Finnish Liiga to the best rookie of the season. The trophy is named in honor of Jarmo Wasama, a young Finnish defenseman who was killed in an automobile accident in 1966. In 2020 it was awarded to Matias Maccelli of Ilves.

For the Sake of Revenge is a live album and DVD recorded by the Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica. It was recorded at Shibuya AX, Tokyo, Japan on 5 February 2005. Along with the CD there is a DVD in stereo and Surround 5.1 sound, which also includes Finnish commentary track by the band, Misplaced Cameras On Tour, a biography, discography and some photos.

Immortal Souls

Immortal Souls is a melodic death metal band from Kokkola, Finland, formed in 1991. They released a split album and their debut on Little Rose Productions in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2002, Immortal Souls signed with Dutch label Fear Dark which released their second and third album as well as a compilation. They have performed at Tuska Open Air Metal Festival. Their musical style is characterized by their use of melodic guitar riffs and singing which shifts between growls and shouting. Their music has been called winter metal since Immortal Souls utilizes frosty metaphors in their lyrics and usually creates a cold, wintry atmosphere. The album Wintereich was released in 2007 in Europe on Dark Balance and in the USA through Facedown Records.

Misery Inc. was a Finnish metal band, which was formed in Myrskylä, Finland, October 2001. Janne on guitar, Jukka on bass, Jonttu on drums and singer Jukkis. Their original plan was to make music without any lead guitars but then it turned out to be a bit boring. Teemu joined the band and so Misery Inc. were complete.

Winterborn is a Finnish heavy metal band formed in December 2004 after playing cover shows as Mean Machine from Spring 2003.

Cain's Offering is a Finnish power metal supergroup that formed in 2008.

Gather the Faithful is the debut studio album of Finnish power metal band Cain's Offering, an all-star project started by former Sonata Arctica guitarist Jani Liimatainen. It was recorded in 2009 in different studios in Finland and was released on July 22, 2009 in Japan via Avalon. On the band's website the band stated that they're "right now concentrating on the following European/US release, which most likely will be end of August" and that they're "in negotiations with a well-known label, and will soon be able to announce the deal and tentative release date." The album was mixed by Jimmy Westerlund in Los Angeles, Hollywood and mastered by Eddy Schreyer at Oasis Mastering, Los Angeles, Burbank. On June 25 the band announced that their debut album will be released on August 28 in Europe and on September 11 in the USA by Frontiers Records.

Live in Finland is a live album and DVD recorded by the Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica. Live in Finland was recorded at Club Teatria in Oulu, Finland on 15 April 2011 during "The Days Of Grays" World Tour, and was released on 11 November 2011. Along with the CD, there is a DVD in stereo and Surround 5.1 sound, which also includes Finnish commentary track by the band, making-of videos, two documentaries, photos, and music videos. The DVD's cover was created by Xabier Loebl.
