Silicon Republic ran InspireFest, an annual convention on the topics of science, technology and creativity, from 2014 to 2019. After five years, it was replaced by Future Human in 2020, [6] taking place at the Trinity Business School building. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]

His business interests have also extended to aircraft leasing, utilities support (Actavo), petroleum, football, and healthcare. As former chairman of the Esat Digifone consortium, O'Brien was questioned by the Moriarty Tribunal, which investigated the awarding of a mobile phone licence to Esat, among other things.

Viatel Technology Group is a Dublin-based technology company, founded from some of the elements of the Nasdaq-quoted US technology company of the same name but now part of a holding with Digiweb, focused primarily on the Irish market.

Karen Duggan is an Irish footballer who plays for Peamount United of the Women's National League (WNL). She has previously played for UCD Waves and the Republic of Ireland women's national football team. Between 2013 and 2016 Duggan was selected for the WNL Team of the Season for four successive seasons. She was the only player selected all four seasons. Kastus Technologies is an Irish multinational nanotechnology company which specialises in patented visible light activated, photocatalytic, antimicrobial coatings. The coatings prevent the growth of bacteria on the surface it has been applied to, such as ceramics, glass, and touchscreens, with no negative side effects for the end user. Founded in Dublin in 2014, Kastus’ antimicrobial coatings were in development for over 10 years as part of a collaboration with Dublin Institute of Technology and the Advanced Materials and Bio Engineering Research (AMBER) Centres.

Shaun O'Boyle is a science communicator, podcast producer and activist, best known for his work to promote science and to improve representation of LGBTQ+ scientists. He was the chair and one of the organisers of the Irish March for Science and also founded House of STEM which aims to connect LGBTQ+ scientists in Ireland.

Patricia Scanlon is an Irish technologist and businesswoman. She founded SoapBox Labs in 2013, a company that applies artificial intelligence to develop speech recognition applications that are specifically tuned to children's voices. Scanlon was CEO of SoapBox Labs from its founding until May 2021, when she became executive chair. In 2022, Scanlon was appointed by the Irish Government as Ireland’s first Artificial Intelligence Ambassador. In this role, she will "lead a national conversation" about the role of AI in people's lives, including its benefits and risks.

Aontú is an all-Ireland political party that was formally launched in January 2019, and operates in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Ideologically, Aontú is opposed to abortion and combines elements of social conservatism with advocacy for a united Ireland and centre-left economics. It has been led by Peadar Tóibín since its foundation.
