Silke Schwarz is a German wheelchair fencer.

Schwarz competed at the 1996 Paralympics, where she won a gold medal in the individual foil A event, a silver medal in the épée team and a bronze medal in the foil team event, and at the 2000 Paralympics, where she won silver medals in the individual épée A and épée team events and a bronze medal in the foil team event. She began as a swimmer but switched to fencing at the age of 17. At the 2004 Summer Paralympics, she won four gold medals in both the individual and team events of épée and foil. She was the first athlete to win four gold medals in fencing in category A in 2004. At the 2008 Summer Paralympics, she represented Hong Kong again, but since the team matches were canceled, she only won one gold and one silver medal in the individual events.

Great Britain competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012 as the host nation. A total of 288 athletes were selected to compete along with 13 other team members such as sighted guides. The country finished third in the medals table, behind China and Russia, winning 120 medals in total; 34 gold, 43 silver and 43 bronze. Multiple medallists included cyclist Sarah Storey and wheelchair athlete David Weir, who won four gold medals each, and swimmer Stephanie Millward who won a total of five medals. Storey also became the British athlete with the most overall medals, 22, and equal-most gold medals, 11, in Paralympic Games history.

Caz Walton OBE is a British retired wheelchair athlete and former Great Britain Paralympic team manager. She was a multi-disciplinary gold medallist who competed in numerous Paralympic Games. Between 1964 and 1976 she won medals in athletics, swimming, table tennis, and fencing. She took a break from the Paralympics, entering the basketball and fencing competitions in 1988. In total Walton won ten gold medals during her Paralympic career, making her one of the most successful British athletes of all time. Walton should also have been awarded gold in the 1968 Tel Aviv Women's Pentathlon incomplete but, due to a miscalculation of her total score which went unnoticed at the time, she was given third place and a bronze medal.

Piers Alexander Gilliver is a British wheelchair fencer, who competes in both épée and sabre. He is the 2020 Paralympic champion in the Individual Épée, A classification. He is the first British Paralympic champion in the sport since Carol Walton in 1988.

Chan Yui Chong is a Hong Konger wheelchair fencer who has been part of the national team since 2002. She has competed for her country at the Summer Paralympics, the Asian Para Games and at the IWAS World Championships.

Marta Makowska is a Polish wheelchair fencer who has won multiple medals for her country at the Paralympic Games, including four at the 2000 Games in Sydney, Australia.

Zsuzsanna Krajnyák is a Hungarian Paralympic wheelchair fencer. She has won 11 medals at the Paralympic Games, with the first two coming at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, where she won two bronze medals. She has also won medals at European and World Championships. Krajnyák was nominated for the Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability in 2006.

Saysunee Jana is a Thai wheelchair fencer. She is Thailand's first female Paralympic gold medallist when she won the Épée B event at the 2004 Athens Paralympics. She has won two gold, one silver, and three bronze in total from five appearances at the Paralympic Games.

Sun Gang is a Chinese wheelchair fencer. He represented China at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and in total he won two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal. Dariusz Pender is a Polish wheelchair fencer. In 2000, he won the gold medal in the men's épée individual A event at the 2000 Summer Paralympics held in Sydney, Australia. He also won the silver medal in the men's foil team event. Pender also won medals at the Summer Paralympics in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.
