The Parliament of Victoria is the bicameral legislature of the Australian state of Victoria that follows a Westminster-derived parliamentary system. It consists of the Queen,represented by the Governor of Victoria,the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. It has a fused executive drawn from members of both chambers. The parliament meets at Parliament House in the state capital Melbourne. The current Parliament was elected on 24 November 2018,sworn in on 19 December 2018 and is the 59th parliament in Victoria.

Ministers other than the Prime Minister shall hold office during the pleasure of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,unless the appointment of any Minister shall have been revoked by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the advice of the Prime Minister but any Minister may resign his office. In practice,the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is obliged to follow the advice of the Prime Minister on the appointment and dismissal of ministers.

The Leader of the House,also known as the Manager of Government Business is responsible for managing and scheduling Government business in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. The office is held by a member of the Ministry;until 2009,the office was always held by a Cabinet minister,but Judy Spence held the office as parliamentary secretary. Under changes made in October 2011,the office was given a salary greater than its holder would otherwise earn by virtue of his or her other ministerial office. The Leader of the House is the Chair of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly,which has responsibility for the way the body is run.
Alister Andrew Henskens is an Australian politician. He has served as the New South Wales Minister for Skills and Training,the Minister for Science,Innovation and Technology,and the Leader of the House in the Legislative Assembly since December 2021 in the Perrottet ministry. He previously served as the Minister for Families,Communities and Disability Services between May and December 2021.
