Squash, sometimes called squash rackets, is a racket-and-ball sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. The players alternate in striking the ball with their rackets onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. The objective of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. There are about 20 million people who play squash regularly world-wide in over 185 countries. The governing body of squash, the World Squash Federation (WSF), is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the sport is included in the Olympic Games, after a number of applications. Squash has been added for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The Professional Squash Association (PSA) organizes the pro tour.
Thierry Lincou is a retired professional squash player from France. He reached the World No. 1 ranking in January 2004. That year, Lincou won the World Open title, the Hong Kong Open and the Super Series Finals. He has been known as one of the greatest lateral movers in the game, as well as being one of the fittest players in the history of squash. His nickname, "titi", was founded by a former competitor, Amr Shabana. He called Thierry "titi-tight," because of his precision and tight shots.
Nicholas MatthewOBE is a former English professional squash player who has won the two most prestigious tournaments in the professional game, the British Open and the World Open, three times each. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in June 2010. His home club is Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club in Sheffield which has named 'The Nick Matthew Showcourt' after him.
Mohamed ElShorbagy is an Egyptian-English professional squash player. He represented Egypt from a young age until June 2022, when he switched to represent England. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in November 2014, March 2018, February 2020, and again in July 2021 and was the 2017 World Squash champion.
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Forero, known as Miguel Rodríguez, is a professional male squash player who represents Colombia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 4 in June 2015.
Simon Rösner is a German former professional squash player. He broke into the Top 10 PSA World Rankings for the first time in November 2014, going on to become the highest-ranked male German player of all time. Rosner subsequently reached a world ranking of No. 6 matching Germany's Sabine Schone's career-high world ranking of No. 6 in June 2015. Rosner broke into the world Top 5 in June 2018 and Top 3 in December 2018 making him the highest-ever-ranked German player.
The PSA World Tour 2012 is the international squash tour organised circuit organized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) for the 2012 squash season. The most important tournament in the series is the World Championship held in Doha in Qatar. The tour features three categories of regular events, World Series, which feature the highest prize money and the best fields, International and Challenger. The Tour is concluded by the PSA World Series Finals, the end of season championship for the top 8 rated players.
The Qatar Classic is an annual international squash tournament that takes place in Doha, Qatar in October or November. The event was re-established in 2001. Between 1992 and 1997, the tournament was formerly known as the Qatar International. The tournament features both men and women, the men's event is part of the PSA World Series and the women's event is part of the WSA World Series.
Campbell Grayson is a New Zealand retired professional squash player. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 24 in February 2020.
Greg Lobban is a professional squash player who represented Scotland. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 27 in February 2019. He joined the Professional Squash Association in 2012. He is one of Scotland's best current players on the PSA World Tour.

Hania El Hammamy is an Egyptian professional squash player. She became a top seed in women's junior squash rankings at the age of 16. As of January 2022, she is ranked number 3 in the world.
Sivasangari Subramaniam is a Malaysian professional squash player. As of May 2022, she was ranked number 20 in the world. She became the 2018 British Junior Open Champion by defeating Satomi Watanabe. She has most recently won the Gillen Market's London Classic Gold event, in which she beat current world nr.2 Hania El Hamammy (Egypt). Throughout the tournament she had also beaten the likes of current world Champion and world number 1 Nour El Sherbini, as well as current world number 4 Nele Gilis.
Mostafa Asal is an Egyptian professional squash player, former number one player, nicknamed "The Raging Bull" for his play style and controversial on-court behavior, which includes three suspensions from the Professional Squash Association tour. In January 2023, he reached a ranking of number one in the world and is currently ranked fourth.
The 2020–21 PSA World Tour is the international squash tour organised circuit organized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) for the 2020–21 squash season. It's the 6th PSA season since the merger of PSA and WSA associations in 2015.
