After leaving the judiciary,Marstiller worked as of counsel at Gunster,Yoakley,Stewart,P.A.,focusing on appellate consulting,litigation,government affairs,procurement,and ethics and election law.[2] In January 2019,Florida governor Ron DeSantis appointed her secretary of the Department of Juvenile Justice.[1] The Florida Senate criminal justice committee unanimously supported her confirmation in March 2019.[3]
In February 2021,DeSantis appointed Marstiller secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).[4] The agency oversees Florida's Medicaid program,as well as licensing for hospitals,nursing homes,and other health care facilities.[4] She stepped down from the position in November 2022.[4] Marstiller was succeeded by Jason Weida.[5]
Personal life
Marstiller was elected to Stetson University's board of trustees in May 2021.[1]
