Sina Ibn Jamali,awc,psc is a retired lieutenant general of the Bangladesh Army. During his tenures he held the appointments of Director Military Operations,Adjutant General,Bangladesh Army,General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division,Chittagong and the Chief of General Staff in Army Headquarters. He also served as the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board from August 2007 to September 2009. [1] [2] Currently he is serving as Corporate Adviser at Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd,MD &CEO of Radiant Nutraceuticals Ltd,Radiant Distribution Ltd and Pharmacil Ltd.
Sina Ibn Jamali,studied at Mirzapur Cadet College. He completed Masters of Defense Studies (MDS) and graduate of Defense Services Command and Staff College,Mirpur;‘Staff College’Quetta,Pakistan and ‘Army War College’of USA.
He commanded two Infantry Battalions,an Infantry Brigade and an infantry division. He took part in counter insurgency operations in Chittagong Hill-Tracts.
On December 24,2005 he replaced Major General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division,Chittagong. Before that he served as Adjutant General of the army. [3]
He held the honor of being the Colonel Commandant of ‘Corps of Military Police’of Bangladesh Army. From 14 May 2009 to 31 Oct 2009 he served as the Commandant of National Defense College. [4]
He was appointed as chief of general staff of the Bangladesh Army by the previous military caretaker government when they dissolved the existing board. [5] [6]
He was appointed chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the 2011 Cricket World Cup in July 2009. [7] The Bangladesh cricket team won their first test series against the West Indies during his presidency,in July 2009. [8]
Mirzapur Cadet College is a Military high school in Tangail,Bangladesh. Like other cadet colleges it follows the national curriculum prescribed by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) with English version and gives emphasis to extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Muhammed Abul ManzurBU was a Bangladeshi military officer who commanded the Bangladesh Forces operations in Sector 8 during the Bangladesh Liberation War against Pakistan in 1971. He was allegedly involved in the assassination of the then-president of Bangladesh,Ziaur Rahman. The erstwhile chief of army staff and alleged mastermind of Rahman's assassination,Hussain Muhammad Ershad,had put a standing shoot-to-kill order on Manzur's life—he was killed shortly after being captured at the border. About a year later,Ershad initiated a bloodless coup d'état and took over the central government,holding power until 1990.
Mohammed Abdul Mubeen is a retired Bangladeshi general who served as the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh army from 2009 to 2012. Prior to his service as Chief of Army Staff,Abdul Mubeen served as principal staff officer of the Armed Forces Division. Before it,he served as the General Officer Commanding of 24th Infantry Division &55th Infantry Division. He retired from the army in 2012 after serving as army chief.
Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy,Bir Bikram,SBP,BSP,OSP,ndc,psc is a retired lieutenant general of Bangladesh Army and former commandant of National Defence College. He previously served as GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC).
Md Mahfuzur Rahman is a retired Bangladeshi general. He was a lieutenant general and the former principal staff officer (PSO) under the prime minister's office and head of the Armed Forces Division.
Abul Hossain,ndc,psc,is a retired three-star rank Bangladesh Army officer. He was a lieutenant general. He served as the director general of Border Guards Bangladesh. Before that he served as military secretary to President Md Abdul Hamid and as Engineer-in-chief at Army Headquarters,Commandant of Military Institute of Science and Technology,Chief Engineer of Dhaka City Corporation,Director of Special Works Organization and Director of Works &Chief Engineer of the Bangladesh Army. He was also ex-officio Chairman of Shimanto Bank which is a sister concern of BGB Welfare Trust.
Major General (Retd) Mohammad Humayun Kabir,OSP,SUP,rcds,psc, was a two-star general of the Bangladesh Army. As Major General he served as the Commander Logistics Area Dhaka Cantonment of Bangladesh Army. He served in various command and headquarters formations. He served as Adjutant General of Bangladesh Army,Commandant of the Bangladesh Military Academy,the Director of Military Operations-Army headquarters and also the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 55 Infantry division and 17 Infantry division.
Mohammad Saiful Abedin,BSP,ndc,psc is a retired major general in the Bangladesh Army. He was General officer commanding (GOC) of the 24th Infantry Division and Area Commander,Chattogram Area. He is the former director general of DGFI. He previously served as Commandant of Defence Services Command &Staff College (DSCSC). He was also the Commandant of Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC). He also served in 71 Mechanized Brigade as Commander.
Ibne Fazal Shayekhuzzaman is a retired major general of the Bangladesh Army and a former E-in-C,Engineer-in-Chief of Bangladesh Army. and former Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC).
Major General Md. Main Ullah Chowdhury,SUP,OSP,awc,psc is a retired two star commissioned flag officer in the Infantry Regiment. He was formerly served as Director of AG’s Branch. Earlier,he was acting Force Commander of the United Nations Mission for Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). In the same mission,he served as deputy Force Commander,United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). Prior to join UNMISS,he served as GOC of 10th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army.
SM Kamrul Hassan is a two-star general of the Bangladesh Army. As Major General he is currently appointed as Senior Directing Staff at National Defence College,prior to that he was the Commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) and also commanded the 66th Infantry Division and Rangpur Area,as General-Officer-Commanding (GOC). He was commissioned in the East Bengal Regiment with the 21st BMA Long Course as the top cadet in weapons training.
Mohammad Shaheenul Haque BSP,ndc,hdmc,psc is a major general of the Bangladesh Army and incumbent master general of ordnance at army headquarters. Earlier,he was the GOC 24th Infantry Division and area commander of Chittagong Area.
Md. Rashed Amin OSP,rcds,ndc,psc is a retired major general of the Bangladesh Army. He is serving as Senior Directing Staff (Civil) at the National Defense College. He served as the general officer commanding the 7th Infantry Division and 33rd Infantry Divisions.
