Max Havelaar; or, The Coffee Auctions of the Dutch Trading Company is an 1860 novel by Multatuli, which played a key role in shaping and modifying Dutch colonial policy in the Dutch East Indies in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. In the novel, the protagonist, Max Havelaar, tries to battle against a corrupt government system in Java, which was then a Dutch colony. The novel's opening line is famous: "Ik ben makelaar in koffie, en woon op de Lauriergracht, Nº 37.".

Long Live the Queen is a 1995 Dutch children's film directed by Esmé Lammers. It tells the tale of a little girl who learns to play chess thanks to enchanted chess pieces. The film was selected as the Dutch entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 69th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. It also won the Golden Calf for Best Feature Film. The film was dedicated to chess grandmaster Max Euwe, the grandfather of the director.
Bride Flight is a 2008 romantic drama film about three women and one man from the Netherlands, who all start new lives in New Zealand. It starts with the victory of the KLM flight in the 1953 London to Christchurch air race. It was directed by Ben Sombogaart and stars Rutger Hauer, Elise Schaap, Anna Drijver, Karina Smulders and Waldemar Torenstra. The Dutch singer Ilse DeLange wrote and sang the title song for the movie: "Miracle".

After the creators announced that the fifth season of the series would be the last, they revealed on 7 November 2009 that they were working on a film adaptation. It earned more than 41.7 million Euro in the box office. The sequel Gooische Vrouwen 2 became the best-visited film in the Netherlands in 2014.
The Voice Kids is a Dutch talent show produced by Talpa and broadcast on RTL 4 since January 27, 2012. It was hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk in seasons 1 to 8. Gooische Vrouwen 2 is a 2014 Dutch film directed by Will Koopman. The film is the sequel of the 2011 film Gooische Vrouwen and both films are based on the Gooische Vrouwen television series. The film was released on 4 December 2014 and went on to become the best-visited film in the Netherlands in 2014. The film won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets and on 28 December 2014 also the Diamond Film for reaching 1 million tickets. It went on to have more than 2 million admissions, making it one of the ten most popular Dutch films of all time. In 2015, the film won the Rembrandt Award.
Amsterdam Vice is a 2019 Dutch film and accompanying series directed by Arne Toonen. The film and eponymous television series is based on the novels of A. C. Baantjer and a prequel to the television series Baantjer, based on the same novels.

The Judgement is a 2020 Dutch drama film based on a non-fiction book by journalist Bas Haan about the Deventer murder case. The film premiered at the Seattle Film Festival where it won six awards: the Grand Jury-prize, best director, best adapted screenplay, best actor, best supporting actor and best supporting actress (Visschedijk). The film also won 4 Golden Calves for best film, best actor, best supporting actor and best screenplay.
Soof 3 is a 2022 Dutch romantic comedy film directed by Anne de Clercq. On the day of the film's release, it won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets. The film also won the Platinum Film award after having sold 400,000 tickets. The film is the sequel to the 2016 film Soof 2.
