Isaac Sipho Mfundisi (born 2 October 1948) is a South African politician who represented the United Christian Democratic Party (UCDP) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009 and from 2012 to 2014. He is also a former president of the UCDP.
Born on 2 October 1948,Mfundisi joined Parliament after the 1999 general election,in which he was narrowly elected to a UCDP seat in the National Assembly. [1] He served two consecutive terms,gaining re-election in 2004, [2] and during that time served as spokesman for the UCDP. [3] [4]
Mfundisi was not re-elected to his seat in the 2009 general election,but he remained in office as chairperson of the UCDP. [5] During the legislative term that followed,he was promoted to UCDP deputy president and then,after incumbent party president Mavis Matladi died in November 2011, [6] to UCDP president. [7] During his presidency,the party was involved in a legal battle with its founder,Lucas Mangope,who demanded to be reinstated to the leadership. [8] [7]
Mfundisi also returned to the National Assembly;he was sworn in on 25 January 2012 to fill the seat formerly held by Matladi. [9] In the next general election in 2014,he ran for re-election,ranked first on the UCDP's party list,but the party failed to win any seats in the chamber. [10]

The United Christian Democratic Party is a minor political party in South Africa. It was founded by Lucas Mangope,leader of the Bophuthatswana bantustan in 1997,as a successor to the Tswana National Party,and led by him for the first fifteen years of its existence. Mavis Matladi was elected as its leader on 29 January 2011 after the expulsion of Mangope. Matladi died in December 2011. Isaac Sipho Mfundisi was elected president on Saturday,7 January 2012.
Zwelethu Lukanyiso "Mighty" Madasa is a South African politician and lawyer who served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2010,excepting a month-long hiatus in 2009. He represented the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) until September 2005,when he crossed the floor to the African National Congress (ANC). The constituency was established as Eastern Transvaal in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. It was renamed Mpumalanga in 1999. It is conterminous with the province of Mpumalanga. Mogoboya Nelson Ramodike was a South African politician who served as Chief Minister of Lebowa,an apartheid-era bantustan,from 21 October 1987 to 26 April 1994. He subsequently represented the United Democratic Movement in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2003.
Letsau Nelson Diale was a South African politician and anti-apartheid activist from Limpopo. He joined the African National Congress (ANC) in 1956 and served eight years' imprisonment on Robben Island,from 1964 to 1972,for his work with Umkhonto we Sizwe. After the end of apartheid,he represented the ANC in the National Council of Provinces from 1994 to 1999 and in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2014.
Felix Christopher Fankomo is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004 and later from 2008 to 2009. He was first elected in the 1994 general election and was re-elected to a second term,representing the Limpopo constituency,in 1999. He left the assembly after the 2004 general election but returned on 31 October 2008,when he was sworn in to fill a casual vacancy arising from Ronnie Kasrils's resignation.
Kgomotso Paul Harry Ditshetelo was a South African politician who represented the United Christian Democratic Party (UCDP) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009. He was also the deputy president of the UCDP from 1998 to 2011. During apartheid,he was a politician and civil servant in Bophuthatswana.
Lewele John Modisenyane is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2009,serving the Free State constituency. He lost his seat in the 2009 general election,in which he defected from the ANC to the opposition Congress of the People (COPE). In 2006,he was convicted of stealing from Parliament during the Travelgate scandal.

He represented the African National Congress until 2009,when he defected to the Congress of the People. He died in August 2011 in an armed robbery.
