Sita-Taty Matondo (born December 28, 1984, in Kinshasa, Zaire) is a Congolese-born Canadian former soccer player who played the majority of his career in Quebec with clubs in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec, USL A-League/First Division, and Canadian Soccer League. He also played abroad in the Superettan, and represented Canada at the international level.
Matondo began his career with Panellinios in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec, where he received the Defender of the Year award, and the Fair-Play award in 1999. In 2003, he signed for the Montreal Impact of the USL A-League. [1] He scored his first goal against Calgary Storm on June 1, 2003, in a 4–0 win. He ended his first pro season with four goals in 21 games. [2] After a successful season with Montreal he was signed by Åtvidabergs FF of the Superettan, where he appeared in four games. [3] [4]
He returned to the Impact in 2005 playing only in one match. [5] After experiencing a shortage of playing time with Montreal he was traded to the Toronto Lynx along with Abraham Francois for Ali Gerba. [6] He made his debut on May 28, 2005, against the Puerto Rico Islanders. [7] He recorded his first goal for the club on June 26, 2005, against Charleston Battery, where he was named man of the match. [8] During the 2005 season he scored two goals and added two assists.
The Vancouver Whitecaps acquired him for the 2006 USL season, where he helped the Caps win the USL First Division Championship by beating the Rochester Raging Rhinos to a score of 3-0 which he scored the third goal to clinch the title. [9] He finished the season with three goals and also helped Vancouver win the Cascadia Cup. On April 11, 2007, he was acquired by the Impact from Vancouver in return for forward Jason McLaughlin. [10] During the 2007 season he was loaned to the Impact's farm team Trois-Rivières Attak of the Canadian Soccer League. [11] He made his debut for the club on August 18, 2007, in a match against the Italia Shooters in a 0–0 tie. [12] He also appeared for the club in the postseason featuring in both the quarterfinal and semifinal matches. [13] In the semi-finals match he contributed by assisting a goal to Nicolas Lesage, but unfortunately wasn't enough to win the match as the Serbian White Eagles FC held on to their 2–1 lead. [14]
On December 2, 2008, the Montreal Impact announced that Matondo along with Gayson Gregory, were released from their contracts. [15] In 2009, he returned to Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec to play with Lasalle-Lakeshore United. [16]
Matondo represented Canada internationally as a member of the U20, U23 teams. He was a member of the Canada U-20 squad that qualified for the 2003 FIFA U-20 World Cup. [17] He made his senior debut for the Canada national team on January 18, 2003, in a friendly match against the United States. [18] [19] Matondo played futsal at the QCSL World Cup in 2010. [20]

Laval Dynamites were a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1997. The men's team was a member of the Canadian Professional Soccer League/Canadian Soccer League, the highest professional soccer league in Canada, and played in the National Division. The team played as the Montreal Dynamites in 2001 and 2002. The team essentially moved to Trois-Rivières and became the Trois-Rivières Attak for the 2007 season.
Trois-Rivières Attak was a Canadian soccer team that played three seasons in the Canadian Soccer League. They formally served as a reserve and academy team for the USL First Division side Montreal Impact. The club was an instant success within the league, winning titles in all three seasons when it competed in the CSL. In 2010, when the Montreal Impact founded their own academy the team ceased operating as a farm team, because of the ended cooperation with the Impact; they announced that they would take a one-year absence from the Canadian Soccer League in 2010 and return for the 2011 season. The team did not return for the 2011 season.

The 2007 Canadian Soccer League season was the tenth since its establishment. The first match of the season was played on May 11, 2007, and ended on October 28, 2007. The season concluded with Toronto Croatia claiming their third championship by defeating rivals Serbian White Eagles 4-1 on aggregate making Croatia one of the most successful clubs in the history of the CSL & Canadian soccer. Toronto Croatia also celebrated its 50-year anniversary in Canadian soccer by winning the CSL title after losing just one game in the 5-month long campaign, including an unbeaten streak in their international triumph of the Croatian World Club Championship. During the regular season the Serbian White Eagles secured their second consecutive International Division title, while St. Catharines Wolves won their first National Division title.
The 2008 Canadian Soccer League season was the 11th since its establishment where a total of 16 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 16, 2008, and ended on October 26 with the Serbian White Eagles claiming their first championship by defeating Trois-Rivières Attak 2-1 in a penalty shootout. This was the third consecutive year the White Eagles had reached the CSL finals losing respectively to Italia Shooters in 2006, and to rivals Toronto Croatia in 2007. While during the regular season Italia won their second division title with Trois-Rivières becoming the first Quebec team to claim the National Division title.

The 2009 Canadian Soccer League season was the 12th since its establishment where a total of 17 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 15, 2008, and ended on October 24 where for the second straight season the Serbian White Eagles faced Trois-Rivières Attak at the CSL Championship. The Attak denied Serbia their championship title by defeating them 3-2 in a penalty shootout. The victory marked the organizations first championship title, and the return of the championship to Quebec since the 1978 season when Montreal Castors competed in the National Soccer League. Throughout the regular season both Serbia, and Trois-Rivieres won their respective divisions.

He was previously the head coach of Montreal Impact in D2 Pro League and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, was North American Soccer League Coach of the Year in 2015, when he led the Ottawa Fury FC to the North American Soccer League Championship Final after a first-place finish in the Fall Season, coached at Swope Park Rangers of United Soccer League, San Francisco Deltas of NASL and assistant coach of Los Angeles FC.
