The All India Forward Bloc (abbr.AIFB) is a left-wing nationalist political party in India. It emerged as a faction within the Indian National Congress in 1939,led by Subhas Chandra Bose. The party re-established as an independent political party after the independence of India. During the 1951–1952 and 1957 Indian general election,the party was known as Forward Bloc (Marxist). It has its main stronghold in West Bengal. The party's current Secretary-General is G. Devarajan. Veteran Indian politicians Sarat Chandra Bose (brother of Subhas Chandra Bose) and Chitta Basu had been the stalwarts of the party in independent India.
Howrah Sadar subdivision is a subdivision of the Howrah district in the state of West Bengal,India. It consists of Howrah municipal corporation and five community development blocs:Bally Jagacha,Domjur,Panchla,Sankrail and Jagatballavpur. The 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election was the 17th quinquennial legislative election held in West Bengal,to elect all 294 members of West Bengal Legislative Assembly. This electoral process of 292 seats unfolded between 27 March to 29 April 2021,taking place in eight phases. Voting for the two remaining constituencies was delayed to 30 September 2021.
Muhammad Abdul Ghani is an Indian politician and former jurist from West Bengal who has been serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Sujapur seat since 6 May 2021. A member of Trinamool Congress,he also served the same post from Jagatballavpur seat from 2016 until 2021. Before that,he served as judge of Calcutta High Court from 2009 until 2012.
