Siyazi Gratefull Tyatyam is a South African politician who served as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament for the African National Congress from May 2014 to May 2019. Tyatyam served as the party's deputy chief whip until his removal in 2016.

Western Cape Provincial Parliament

Tyatyam was elected to the Western Cape Provincial Parliament in the 2014 general election. [1] He took office on 21 May 2014. [2] He was the ANC's deputy chief whip until August 2016, when the party's provincial executive committee removed him from the post. [3]

Tyatyam did not place on the party's list for the 2019 election. On 7 May 2019, he left the provincial parliament. [2]

Grant Haskin is currently serving as Member of the Cape Town City Council and Leader of the African Christian Democratic Party in the Cape Town City Council. He previously served as Executive Deputy Mayor of Cape Town, Acting Mayor of Cape Town, Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Sports and Amenities. He served in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament for two periods. While a Member of the Provincial Parliament, he served as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) and Special Delegate to the National Council of the Provinces.

Dipuo Peters

Elizabeth Dipuo Peters was the Minister of Transport of the Republic of South Africa from 10 July 2013 until 30 March 2017, in the Zuma administration, and former Minister of Energy from 2009 to 2013 having served as successor to Manne Dipico as the second Premier of the Northern Cape Province, 22 April 2004 to 10 May 2009. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she serves on the Women's League National Executive Committee. Dipuo Peters resigned as a member of parliament for the African National Congress in April 2017.

John Steenhuisen Interim leader of the Democratic Alliance, Leader of the Opposition

John Henry Steenhuisen is a South African politician who has been serving as the interim Federal Leader of the Democratic Alliance since November 2019. He became Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly in October 2019. He previously served as the Chief Whip of the Official Opposition under the leadership of Mmusi Maimane from May 2014 to October 2019. He has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly since July 2011. Before he was appointed to parliament, he was active in the provincial politics of KwaZulu-Natal, serving as both the Provincial Leader of the DA and as the leader of the party's caucus in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature.

Cedric Frolick

Cedric Thomas Frolick, is the current House Chairperson: Committees, Oversight and ICT in the National Assembly of Parliament for the Republic of South Africa. A teacher, politician, anti-apartheid activist. He retired from teaching in 1999 and subsequently became a politician in the National Assembly. On 18 November 2010, the ANC appointed him as the House Chairperson responsible for Committees, ICT and Oversight.

Marius Fransman Retired South African politician and teacher

Marius Llewellyn Fransman is a retired South African politician and teacher. He served as Leader of the Opposition in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2014 to 2016, and as Chairperson of the Western Cape African National Congress from 2011 to 2016. He served as Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation in the cabinet of Jacob Zuma. From 2009 to 2014, he was a Member of the National Assembly. Fransman served as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 1999 to 2009, and again from 2014 to 2016.

Buti Manamela

Buti Kgwaridi Manamela is currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, having previously served as the Deputy Minister for Planning and Monitoring in the Presidency since 26 May 2014. He is currently serving under the current Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Blade Nzimande and current President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa. The 2019 South African general election was held on 8 May 2019 to elect a new National Assembly and provincial legislatures in each province. These were the sixth elections held since the end of apartheid in 1994 and determined who would become the next President of South Africa.

Cameron Dugmore South African politician

Cameron Muir Dugmore is a South African politician who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament. A member of the African National Congress, he has been serving as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since 2014. He previously held the post from 1994 to 2009. He served as the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport from 2008 to 2009, and as the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Education from 2004 to 2008.

It is led by its founder Patricia de Lille, current Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure and former Mayor of Cape Town. The party's policies are predominantly left-wing and its platform is premised on social democracy, environmentalism, anti-racism and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment. The party's stronghold is the Western Cape and mainly draws support from the Coloured community.

Pemmy Castelina Pamela Majodina is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly since 2019. A member of the African National Congress, she is the party's chief whip in the assembly. She was formerly a Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature between 2004 and 2019 and a Member of the provincial Executive Council for five different portfolios from 2008 to 2019, respectively. Majodina was a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from 1994 to 2004.
