Skansens Bataljon is a buekorps in Bergen that was established 22 May 1860. The buekorps has its headquarters in the old fire station at Skansen. Traditionally Skansen marcher on Sundays, but this was changed to Saturdays in 1951. [1]
Skansens Bataljon also runs the café Brushytten at Fløyen which is a popular goal for hikers. [2]

Stord Sunnhordland Fotballklubb was an association football club located in Leirvik, Stord, Norway. It was founded in late 2002 as a cooperation between the football sections of Leirvik's local multi-sports club Stord IL and lower-division Moster IL. The club was named Stord/Moster FK until 2006. Two investors, football agent Terje Simonsen and professional footballer Kjetil Løvvik, were behind the merger. It was founded to create one large club in the Sunnhordland region, to attract support behind the club. Critics claimed that the investors were mainly looking to develop players to sell for cash. Top goalscorer the first season was Kjetil Løvvik himself, who quit a professional career to play for the club. Stord/Moster fared well on the football field; they won their Third Division group twice in a row, and on the second occasion they gained promotion through playoff. They then played two seasons in the Second Division. Their biggest talent was Christian Brink who went on to higher levels of football.

The Hatlestad Slide was a slide of mud and rock which occurred in the early morning of September 14, 2005 in a rural area in Bergen, Norway, as a result of heavy rainfall. The slide killed three people, wounded seven, and displaced many more, as it hit a row of residential houses in its path while the houses' occupants were asleep. The event is notable not only for the loss of life it caused, but also for how it altered Norwegian policies on environmentalism and housing construction, as well as emergency management. In addition, the question on whether or not to end the treatment of fatally wounded Kristina Hjartåker, who was put on a ventilator until her death in February, sparked national debate, both on the case itself and on the ending of life-prolonging treatment in general.
Haukeland University Hospital is a hospital in Bergen, Norway, and one of the eleven institutions that make up Bergen Hospital Trust. Haukeland is the largest in Norway in terms of number of patients, and serves as the local hospital of Bergen, Midthordland and Nordhordland, the central hospital of Vestland county, and the regional hospital for Vestland and Rogaland counties.
Løvstakksiden, commonly shortened to Løvstakken or simply Stakken, is a neighbourhood in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. Currently it is part of the borough of Årstad, but before 2000 it was part of a borough called "Løvstakken" which covered the eastern and western sides of the mountain Løvstakken, consisting of Fyllingsdalen in the west and Løvstakksiden in the east.
Løvstakkens Jægerkorps is a buekorps in Bergen, Norway. It is mainly the buekorps for the neighbourhood of Løvstakksiden. It was founded for the first time in 1903, then for boys only. On May 11, 1999 it was founded again as a "mixed brigade", allowing both boys and girls as members. Their current motto is: "Vennskap og samhold gir styrke".
Krohnvikens Bataljon was a buekorps in Bergen which existed from probably before 1854 (1852?) to 1916. The proof of its early foundation is that the man who allegedly painted its first banner died in that year, 1854. It was the local brigade for a working-class area called Krohnviken, in the neighbourhood of Solheimsviken. The brigade may have been the oldest to ever have come into existence.
Solheims Bataljon was a buekorps in Bergen which existed from 1927 to shortly after 1950, though some claim it was founded already in the 1890s. It is certain however, that the brigade came into existence because of the barrackses which was raised after the city-fire in 1916. The boys made and took care of their rifles themselves. The working-class area in which the brigade had their headquarters was commonly called "Blodbyen".
Strandgaten is a street in the city centre of Bergen, Norway, west of the bay of Vågen. It starts at Torgallmenningen and follows the eastern shore of the Nordnes peninsula to Tidemands gate, where it becomes Nordnesgaten. The easternmost quarter of Strandgaten is a regular two-way street, while it is an eastbound one-way street between Tollbodallmenningen and Holbergsallmenningen, and between Østre Murallmenningen and Torgallmenningen. Between Holbergsallmenningen and Østre Murallmenningen the street is pedestrianised. In total, Strandgaten is approximately 1.2 km long.

Minde is a neighbourhood in the southwestern part of Årstad borough in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is located south of the neighborhoods of Solheim and Kronstad, west of Landås, and north of Fjøsanger and Storetveit. Parts of Minde were in Fana municipality before the merger of 1972. It is home to the Bergen offices of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, the dairy company Tine, and the headquarters of the shipping company Odfjell. The area is served by one elementary school, Minde skole. An upper secondary school, Kristianborg videregående skole, was formerly located here, operated jointly by three free churches. As it failed to attain a body of students large enough for the operation of the school to be economically viable, it closed after the end of the school year of 2007/2008. Fridalen Church is located in the neighborhood too.
FK Fyllingsdalen is a football club from Fyllingsdalen, a borough in the Norwegian city of Bergen. The club is a result of a merge between the two football clubs Fyllingen and Løv-Ham.

Kristian Magdalon Bing was a Norwegian jurist, author and mountaineer. He is commonly credited for re-introducing the tradition of celebrating Olsok (1897) and reviving it as an annual ceremony commemorating the death of St. Olav at Stiklestad.
Bergen Heliport, Grønneviksøren is a heliport situated at Grønneviksøren on the shore of Store Lungegårdsvannet in Bergen, Norway. It is solely used for air ambulance services to Haukeland University Hospital. The heliport is owned and operated by Bergen Hospital Trust. It is the base for a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) for the Norwegian Air Ambulance. Grønneviksøren is also used by the Royal Norwegian Air Force's 330 Squadron's Westland Sea King search and rescue helicopters.
Bergen Heliport, Nygårdstangen was a heliport situated at Nygårdstangen on the shore of Store Lungegårdsvannet in Bergen, Norway. It was solely used for air ambulance services to Haukeland University Hospital. The heliport was owned and operated by Hordaland County Municipality, with helicopter services provided by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA). The base opened in 1987 as a temporary facility. It was closed in 2002 and replaced by Bergen Heliport, Grønneviksøren.
