Sky van Hoff (born 1986) is a multi platinum German record producer, songwriter and musician. He works primarily with acts in the metal and rock genres, including Rammstein, Emigrate, Till Lindemann, Sleep Token, Kreator and Electric Callboy. As of now he's earned 14x platinum and 8x gold certified album productions. Before becoming a producer, van Hoff was a guitarist for metal band Machinemade God and toured extensively with the band until opening his own studio in 2008.
In 2003, van Hoff joined metal band Machinemade God as a guitarist and signed his first record deal as a band member with Metal Blade Records in 2005. [1] [2] [3] His first album with the band, The Infinity Complex, was released the following year. [4] He wrote and produced the band's next album, Masked, released the following year. [5] [6] After receiving requests to produce other German metal acts, van Hoff opened his own studio in 2008. [7] [8] In the years that followed, he worked with Kreator, The Sorrow and Caliban. [9] [10] In 2012, van Hoff appeared on the third season of the German version of The X Factor as a musical director for Sandra Nasić's team, where he supervised and produced the "Groups and Bands" category. [5] [7] He was a producer for the folk duo Mrs. Greenbird, the winner of the season, and subsequently produced their self-titled debut album released the same year. [11] [5]
In 2018, van Hoff contributed to Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe's solo project Emigrate and their third album, A Million Degrees , with production, recording and mixing. [12] [13] [14] He was later brought in by Kruspe to record and edit guitar parts for Rammstein's untitled studio album. [15] [6] Following the album's release in 2019, van Hoff joined the band on their stadium tour as Kruspe's monitoring engineer. [16] [6] In 2021, van Hoff produced and composed the music for Rammstein singer Till Lindemann's first solo single, "Ich Hasse Kinder", and was a producer on Emigrate's fourth studio album, The Persistence of Memory. [17] He received notable praise for his work on Lindemann's single from YouTube personality and music producer Rick Beato. [18] van Hoff rejoined Rammstein in the studio for their next studio album, Zeit , contributing guitar production, recording and editing. [17] After the album's release in 2022, van Hoff continued touring with the band as a monitoring engineer until the end of the tour the following year. [8] He again collaborated with Lindemann on the singer's debut solo album, Zunge, as a producer, songwriter and instrumentalist. [19]

Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch.
Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen, formed in 1982. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Miland "Mille" Petrozza, drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, lead guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö, and bassist Frédéric Leclercq. The band's lineup has changed multiple times throughout its 42-year career, most noticeably with their bassists and lead guitarists. Petrozza and Reil are the only two original members left in Kreator, although the latter took a break from the band from 1994 to 1996. Yli-Sirniö has been the lead guitarist of Kreator since 2001, while Leclercq joined in 2019 as the replacement of Christian "Speesy" Giesler, who had been a member of the band since 1994.

"Seemann" ("Seaman"/"Sailor") is a song by German band Rammstein, released as the second single from their album Herzeleid. It was composed by bass player Oliver Riedel, with lyrics by Till Lindemann.
"Engel" is a song by German Industrial metal band Rammstein. It was released in April 1997 as the first single from their second album, Sehnsucht. The female part of song's chorus is sung by Christiane "Bobo" Hebold of the German pop band Bobo in White Wooden Houses. An English version of "Engel" can be found on US special editions of Sehnsucht. According to an interview, keyboardist Christian Lorenz came up with the main riff for this song on a synthesizer along with a whistle melody.
Richard Kruspe is a German musician. He is best known as one of the founders and the lead guitarist of the Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, as well as the frontman of the industrial metal band Emigrate. Kruspe has released eight studio albums with Rammstein and four albums with Emigrate.
Paul Landers is a German musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist of Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, and punk rock bands Feeling B and First Arsch. Landers has released eight studio albums and three live albums with Rammstein.
Till Lindemann is a German singer and songwriter. He is the lead vocalist and lyricist of Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein and solo project Lindemann. Rammstein has sold over 25 million records worldwide, with five of their albums receiving platinum status, and Lindemann has been listed among the "50 Greatest Metal Frontmen of All Time" by Roadrunner Records. Lindemann has also appeared in minor roles in films and has published three books of poetry. He has presented some of his original poems and scripts to galleries.
Christian "Flake" Lorenz is a German musician. He is best known as the keyboardist in Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, as well as the main composer of the band along with guitarist Richard Kruspe. He was also a member of the East German punk band Feeling B.
Emigrate is an industrial metal band formed in 2005 by Richard Kruspe of Rammstein as a side project. The band was formed in New York City and later relocated to Berlin. They have released four studio albums, with several musicians contributing to their recordings. Emigrate is a studio band, and have therefore never performed live.
First Arsch was a Schwerin-based German punk rock band formed in 1986 by Till Lindemann, the subsequent lead singer of German band Rammstein. In First Arsch, Lindemann played the drums.

Jacob Hellner is a Swedish record producer, songwriter and composer. As a producer, he has worked with acts in the metal, rock, pop, hip hop and electronic genres. Hellner is best known for his extensive collaboration with German metal band Rammstein, which saw him produce every album released by the band from Herzeleid (1995) to Paris (2017), and assisting in the production of albums from Rammstein members' side projects Emigrate and Lindemann. He is currently a member of the project Bright & Black and was previously part of the Swedish production duo BomKrash together with Carl-Michael Herlöfsson.
Lindemann is a German musical project fronted by vocalist Till Lindemann. It was formed in 2013 as a super-duo alongside Swedish multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren. Tägtgren originally defined their sound as a cross between his project Pain and Lindemann's main band Rammstein, adding "at least it's a mix of Rammstein vocals and Pain music." Together, they released the two albums Skills in Pills (2015) and F & M (2019). Tägtgren departed Lindemann in 2020, leaving Lindemann as a solo project.
A Million Degrees is the third studio album by the industrial rock band Emigrate. It was released on November 30, 2018, via Vertigo Records. First recorded in 2015, the album was destroyed in a flood in 2017, and had to be re-recorded. Recording sessions took place at Studio Engine 55 in Berlin with drums recorded at Funkhaus Studio. It features guest appearances from Ben Kowalewicz, Cardinal Copia, Margaux Bossieux and Till Lindemann.
The Rammstein Stadium Tour was the seventh concert tour by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, originally in support of their 2019 untitled studio album, but then Zeit as well in 2022 and onwards, with a total of 58 shows in 2019. It grossed more than $64,000,000 by the end of 2018 in pre-sales.
The Persistence of Memory is the fourth studio album by the rock band Emigrate. It was released on November 12, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment. Recording sessions took place at Studio Engine 55 in Berlin, at Funkhaus-Studio in Berlin-Treptow-Köpenick, and at Sky van Hoff Studios. Production was handled by Richard Kruspe, Sky van Hoff and Olsen Involtini. It features a guest appearance from Till Lindemann. The album debuted at number 39 on the Offizielle Deutsche Charts.
Zeit is the eighth studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, released on 29 April 2022 through Universal Music. Produced by the band with Olsen Involtini, the album was unplanned and recorded as a result of the band's tour being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the band, the enforced lockdowns due to the pandemic spurred the band's creativity, resulting in spontaneous writing and recording sessions. Rammstein recorded the album in late 2020 and early 2021 at La Fabrique Studios in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, where they recorded their previous album. The album's title track was released as the lead single on 10 March 2022.
Zunge is the debut solo studio album by Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, released independently on 3 November 2023. It was preceded by the eponymous single on 8 September 2023 as well as the three singles "Schweiss", "Nass" and "Lecker" on 29 September and "Sport frei" on 27 October. While Lindemann wrote the album's lyrics, the music was written and produced by Sky van Hoff, Daniel Karelly, Olsen Involtini, Lois Cass and Clemens Wijers.
