Sladen Peltier is a Canadian actor. [1] He is most noted for his performance in the film Indian Horse , for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 6th Canadian Screen Awards in 2018. [2]

Peltier currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario and is from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Reserve located on Manitoulin Island in Ontario. [1] He was cast in the film, his first ever acting role, after responding to a casting announcement looking for First Nations children who could skate. [1]

The organization's roots predate European contact in the 16th century, in the Council of Three Fires. Holy Cross Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Reserve, north-eastern Manitoulin island. It was founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1844 and was their first mission in Northern Ontario since their suppression in 1767. The mission played a significant role in increasing literacy in Canada of the Ojibwe language. The church building itself was constructed in 1852. It is situated to the north of Wiikwemkoong on Wikwemikong Way, next to the Giizhigaanang Community Centre.
