Slave Riot is a jazz and fusion music album by Oxnard-based hip hop producer Madlib's Jazz virtual band Young Jazz Rebels. It's a group of fictional members all created by Madlib. It was released on March 23, 2010 on Stones Throw Records in vinyl and CD format.

Jazz rap is a fusion of jazz and hip hop music that developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. AllMusic writes that the genre "was an attempt to fuse African-American music of the past with a newly dominant form of the present, paying tribute to and reinvigorating the former while expanding the horizons of the latter." Otis Jackson Jr., known professionally as Madlib, is an American DJ, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and rapper. One of the most prolific and critically acclaimed hip hop producers of the 2000s, he is known for his collaborations with numerous hip hop artists under a variety of pseudonyms, including with MF DOOM, J Dilla, and Freddie Gibbs. Madlib has described himself as a "DJ first, producer second, and MC last," and has done several projects as a DJ, mixer, or remixer.
