Oluwafemi Oladapo (born in August 22, 1982) better known as Slimcase, [1] is a Nigerian singer, [2] [3] [4] songwriter and hype man, and actor, [5] He is known for featuring on fellow Nigerian artist D'banj's single,'Issa Banger' [6] [7] and 'Gucci Snake', by Wizkid [8] with a new dance routine known as 'shaku shaku' [9] [10] [11]

Early life

He was born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, [14] Nigeria, on August 22, 1982, and grew up in Lagos with his parents. [15] He received both his first school leaving certificate and his West African senior school certificate in Lagos, where he completed his elementary and secondary school education. [16]

In April 2014, the NEA reviewing committee began collecting submissions for the 2014 edition. The deadline for submission was April 30, 2014, and the nominations were announced on May 29, 2014. Tiwa Savage and Davido received the most nominations with 5 each. Don Jazzy, Flavour N'abania and Wizkid all got four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi followed closely with three nominations.

Yemi Eberechi Alade, is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress and activist. Her music which incorporates Afro; Highlife, Dancehall, Pop and R&B has been of influence in many African countries and the world as she is acclaimed "Mama Africa" for this and her versatility in using different African languages and attires in her songs and music videos. She sings in English, Igbo, Pidgin, Yoruba, French, Swahili and Portuguese. Alade's father was a police commissioner of Yoruba descent, while her mother is of Igbo descent.

The Headies 2014 was the ninth edition of The Headies. It took place on 14 December 2014, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Themed "Feel the Passion", the show was hosted by Toke Makinwa and Basketmouth. It was initially scheduled to hold on 25 October 2014. Bovi was initially announced as one of the hosts, but ended up not hosting due to him being booked for another show. On 30 September 2014, nominations were announced during a press briefing at the HipTV office in Allen, Lagos. Kcee, Olamide and Phyno led the nominations with five each. Tiwa Savage, Oritse Femi and The Mavins followed closely with four apiece. Yemi Alade was nominated for Song of the Year, Best Pop Single and Next Rated. Olamide, Patoranking and Davido each took home two awards apiece. Don Jazzy won the Producer of the Year plaque, while Sir Victor Uwaifo got the Hall of Fame recognition.

The Gidi Culture Festival is an annual one-day music and arts festival that takes place in Lagos, Nigeria. Co-founded by Chinedu Okeke and Oriteme Banigo, it was created in response to a demand from the local youth culture for live, affordable, and accessible entertainment in Africa. The festival provides a venue for live bands, DJs, and musical acts to perform. It also features outdoor activities, local vendors, and artisans. "Eminado" is a song by Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. It features vocals from Don Jazzy and was released as the seventh single from her debut studio album Once Upon a Time (2013). The song peaked at number 2 on MTV Base's Official Naija Top 10 chart from March 7 through March 13, 2014. Vanguard newspaper ranked it 10th on its list of the top ten hit songs that made 2013. "Eminando" received generally positive reviews from music critics and consumers. On the contrary, the music video was criticized for bearing close resemblance to Tumi and the Volume's "Asinamali" video.
