Slipping Stitches was a hard rock/pop rock band from Helsinki, Finland.
Slipping Stitches was founded in 2003. Under their previous name Peace of Mind, they recorded their first single No Privacy. It was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland in 2001. Michael Monroe of Hanoi Rocks fame produced the first two tracks, and contributed with both lyrics and background vocals. They changed their name to Slipping Stitches in the spring of 2003. In May 2004 they released their first album entitled Melody Cruise on GLAM productions. In 2005 vocalist Markus Lindqvist (aka Cashmire) announced that a major line-up change had happened, leaving himself as the only original member. The band toured in Finland and Italy with the new lineup during the years 2005–07. They also released a self-titled EP in 2007 to support the second Italian tour. Drummer Toni Suominen left the band and the band was fairly inactive for a few years. The band did some acoustic tours in the United States from 2009 to 2012. Most shows were on the east coast in the New York City area but also at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, LA. The band started working on their second album (Heroes) in 2011, which took more than one year to record. Award-winning producer Jukka Backlund (Sunrise Avenue) was chosen to produce the album. Their album titled Heroes was released in early 2015. [1] The first single from the album is a track called "Walk Away from Me".

Värttinä is a Finnish folk music band that started as a project by Sari and Mari Kaasinen in 1983 in the village of Rääkkylä, in Karelia, the southeastern region of Finland. Many transformations have taken place in the band since then. Värttinä shot into fame with the release of their 1991 album Oi Dai. As of 2009, the band consists of three lead female vocalists supported by three acoustic musicians. The vocalists sing in the Karelian dialect of the Finnish language.
Catamenia is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1995 by Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu. They have been signed to Massacre Records since their first full-length release Halls of Frozen North in 1998. As of 2010, they have released nine albums, one EP, and one DVD. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. Catamenia also means "menstruation", which the band did not know until a fan pointed it out to them after the release of their debut album.

Zen Café is a Finnish rock band that was founded in Turku in 1992. The band derived its name from the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. To/Die/For are a gothic metal band from the town of Kouvola in southeast of Finland, originally assembled in 1993 as a hard rock band under the name Mary-Ann. In 1999, they decided to change their musical style to gothic metal, changing their band name as well. The band disbanded in April 2009, but reformed in July 2009, and played their final concert at John Smith Festival in Finland on 22 June 2016. They reformed once again in early 2020.

Originally a classical-style Metallica tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. They have sold over four million albums to date.

The band was formed in 2000 by drummer Janne Haavisto, bass player Mikko Mäkelä, singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng and guitarist Miikka Paatelainen.
