Smart Bangladesh is an initiative led by the Government of Bangladesh aiming to transform Bangladesh into a technologically advanced and sustainable society. Building on the foundation of the Digital Bangladesh initiative, Smart Bangladesh envisions the development of smart cities, smart agriculture, smart healthcare, smart education, smart energy, smart governance and smart institutions with the ultimate goal of creating a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for the people of Bangladesh. [1] [2] [3] Another significant stride towards achieving a smarter Bangladesh. [4] The official inauguration of the nation's inaugural elevated expressway marks a substantial leap toward the realization of a 'Smart Bangladesh'. [5] The government has made significant progress, both in terms of structural enhancements and program implementation, to meet the healthcare requirements of women. Initiatives such as community and mobile clinics have been established to extend healthcare access, particularly in rural areas, with a focus on maternal health. Furthermore, the successful implementation of family planning programs has led to a substantial reduction in the number of births per woman over the past two decades. [6]

Dhaka Elevated Expressway is Bangladesh's first elevated expressway project, which will connect the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with Kutubkhali via Kawla, Kuril, Banani, Mohakhali, Tejgaon, Moghbazar, Kamalapur, Sayedabad and Jatrabari of Dhaka. It is one of the largest infrastructure projects taken up by the incumbent government to ease traffic congestion in the capital. It will be 19.73 km (64,700 ft) long and will cost around 122 billion (US$1.1 billion). On September 2, 2023, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ceremoniously opened the Airport-Farmgate section of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway, with her motorcade covering the toll of Tk 2,000 for 25 vehicles. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 11.5 km Airport-Farmgate section of the 19.73 km Dhaka Elevated Expressway, a pioneering infrastructure project in Bangladesh. This development holds great promise for alleviating traffic congestion and shortening commuting times in the capital city. Commuters were thrilled to be able to cover the distance between Kawla and Farmgate in just 10 minutes, with speeds reaching up to 60 km per hour.

2023 International Horticultural Exposition or Expo 2023 is an International Horticultural Expo to be hosted by Doha, Qatar. The Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha is being held from October 2, 2023 until March 28, 2024. Spanning 1.7 million square meters, the event takes place in Al Bidda Park, one of the biggest parks in Doha which overlooks the Persian Gulf. Originally scheduled to be held from 14 October 2021 to 17 March 2022, but it was rescheduled to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris formally recognised it on 22 November 2018 as an International Horticultural Exhibition. The Expo will be organized under the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment". An 80-hectare (200-acre) site has been identified.

Bangladesh Vision 2041 is a national strategic plan to further develop the socio-economic standing of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, issued by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and formulated by National Economic Council. As a part of four 5-year perspective plan to be undertaken between 2022 and 2041, Bangladesh is aiming to achieve high income status through industrialization. The initiative encourages expansion of manufacturing capacity and investment in human capital development to develop exports from Bangladesh. As Bangladesh marks its fiftieth year of independence, it stands adorned with numerous significant achievements. Presently, the nation is positioned favorably to endeavor towards the ambitious goal of attaining a poverty-free and advanced economy by the year 2041. While the challenges ahead are formidable, they are not beyond conquering. Bangladesh's existing impressive track record serves as a testament to its capabilities. Immunization stands as a pivotal benchmark within the global health domain, and Bangladesh emerges as an exemplary and pioneering nation in this aspect. Having immunized a substantial count of 38 million children since 2003, Bangladesh's success story is one that resonates globally. Remarkably, the country achieved polio-free status in 2006 and effectively eradicated the menace of neonatal tetanus.
