The Idea of North are an Australian a cappella vocal ensemble founded in Canberra in 1993, by Nick Begbie (tenor), Meg Corson (alto), Trish Delaney-Brown (soprano) and Andrew Piper (bass). In March 2002 Corson was replaced as alto by Naomi Crellin. Delaney-Brown was replaced on soprano in February 2007 by Sally Cameron. They won the Best Jazz Album category at the ARIA Music Awards of 2010 for Feels Like Spring and again in 2013 for Smile.
John Farnham and Tom Jones – Together in Concert is an Australian tour featuring John Farnham and Tom Jones performing together for ten concerts throughout the capital cities of Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. Jones sings his major hits, before Farnham performs his set including hits "One", "Pressure Down", "That's Freedom", "Heart's On Fire", "Playing To Win", "Every Time You Cry", "Man Of The Hour", "Age Of Reason" and "Burn For You". My One and Only Thrill is the second studio album by American singer and songwriter Melody Gardot. It was released on March 16, 2009, by Verve Records. Three singles were released from the album: "Who Will Comfort Me", "Baby I'm a Fool", and "Your Heart Is as Black as Night". Australian host Glenn Shorrock of Little River Band was assisted by Quincy Jones, and other presenters, to distribute 24 awards. For the first time there were live performances but the awards were not televised.

Her music has been described by I-D as "sexy synth-laden pop" and in 2019 the Sydney Morning Herald said of her intimate tour run, that "Washington’s impressive command of her relatively small stage gave proof her music can work anywhere, anyway, any time." She has won three ARIA Music Awards with two in 2010 for I Believe You Liar, Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist – Release. The other win was Best Cover Art for Batflowers in 2020, shared with Adam Dal Pozzo and Michelle Pitiris.
