Sobey Martin

Sobey Martin (27 June 1909 – 27 July 1978) was an American director of television and short films, mainly in the 1950s and 1960s. Martin directed the film Four Nights of the Full Moon (Spanish : Las cuatro noches de la luna llena) (1963), starring an international ensemble cast led by Gene Tierney. However, he is probably best remembered for his prolific work on the Irwin Allen TV series Lost in Space , The Time Tunnel , Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Land of the Giants .

Television telecommunication medium for transmitting and receiving moving images

Television (TV), sometimes shortened to tele or telly, is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving images in monochrome, or in colour, and in two or three dimensions and sound. The term can refer to a television set, a television program, or the medium of television transmission. Television is a mass medium for advertising, entertainment and news.

A short film is any motion picture not long enough to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels. "Short" was an abbreviation for either term.
