Social Innovation Camp (SICamp) is a competition and event for software developers, designers and social innovators to create new businesses and projects that use the web to achieve a social goal. It is a method for social innovation. [1]

Social Innovation Camp was set up in London, in early 2008, with support from the Young Foundation and NESTA.

The Social Innovation Camp model has been replicated in Australia, Slovakia, South Korea, Georgia, Armenia, Czech Republic, Nigeria, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. [17]

"Transitions Online" organized the Social Innovation Camp in Azerbaijan (July 23–24, 2011). [13] Organisers for International Social Innovation Camps include Soros Foundation, The Hope Institute, IREX, UNDP, Internews, The Eurasia Partnership Foundation, World Wide Narrative and others.

The president of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the head of state of Azerbaijan. The Constitution states that the president is the embodiment of executive power, commander-in-chief, "representative of Azerbaijan in home and foreign policies", and "shall have the right of immunity [from prosecution]." The president rules through his executive office, the Presidential Administration, consisting of a group of secretaries and departmental ministers. Additionally, there is a Cabinet of Ministers regarding economic and social policy and a Security Council regarding foreign, military, and judicial matters.

Nabran is a 3-hour drive from the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, and located on the Caspian seashore in a subtropical forestland. Nabran is a settlement that covers over several kilometers.

The 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup was the third edition of the women's football tournament, and was held in Azerbaijan from 22 September to 13 October, following a decision by the executive committee on 19 March 2010. Defending champions South Korea failed to qualify for the tournament. France won the title after defeating Korea DPR 1–1.

Government House, Baku Azerbaijani government building in Baku

The Government House of Baku, also known as House of Government, is a government building housing various state ministries of Azerbaijan. It is located on Neftchiler Avenue and faces the Baku Boulevard. The rear side of the building faces busy Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street of central Baku. Government House was designed for 5,500 people.

Gulustan Palace

Gulustan Palace, formerly known as Gulustan Wedding Palace Complex during the Soviet era is the main state convention center of the Azerbaijani government. It is located on Baku's highland, on Istiglaliyyat Street overlooking the whole city of Baku and Baku Bay. The palace serves as an official facility for governmental and non-governmental organizations holding various types of formal events. It is notable for having hosted important events such as significant oil and gas contracts, international and state conferences.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the labour markets and ensuring social protection of the population of Azerbaijan. The ministry was headed by Salim Muslumov until 2018. Current minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is Sahil Babayev. He is appointed to this position based on presidential decree dated 21 April 2018.

National Flag Square Large city square in Baku, Azerbaijan

National Flag Square is a large city square off Neftchiler Avenue in Bayil, Baku, Azerbaijan. A flag measuring 70 by 35 metres flew on a free–standing flagpole in the square, 162 m (531 ft) high. The flagpole was confirmed as the world's tallest flagpole by the Guinness Book of Records upon its inauguration in 2010, but was soon overtaken by the 165 m Dushanbe Flagpole in Tajikistan on 24 May 2011. Both flagpoles were built by the same American affiliated company, Trident Support. The flagpole in the square was the third tallest flagpole in the world.

Baku Expo Center - is an international standard, purpose-built events venue. It is located in H.Aliyev ave., Surakhany district, Baku, Azerbaijan. It provides over 30,000m² of exhibition space and includes facilities for hosting conferences, meetings, seminars and presentations. It was opened on June 1, 2010 with "Caspian Oil and Gas 2010" exhibition. It is the second largest Expo center after Moscow Expo Center among the CIS countries.
