Sohanlal.P.S (born 18 December 1978), better known by his screen name Sohan Seenulal, is an Indian film director, screen writer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema . [1] He is known for his character roles in Mammootty films.
He started his career as a child artist in Kabuliwala (1994) directed by Siddique-Lal. [2] Later he joined as assistant directors to Shafi in starting from One Man Show (2001) . [3] [4] And he continued his career as an assistant director till 2008. [5] In 2008 he was an assistant director on Prithviraj Sukumaran's Lollipop (film). [6]
In 2011, Seenulal debuted as a director with the film Doubles, which starred Mammootty. [7] In 2016, he directed Vanyam with Aparna Nair in lead. His upcoming directorial is Unlocked, starring Chemban Vinod Jose, Mamtha Mohandas and Sreenath Bhasi lead roles.
Sohan Seenulal debuted in acting with a police role as Madhu in Nivin Pauly's, Action Hero Biju directed by Abrid Shine. [8] Sohan Seenulal's short film “Cupid” got best second short film award in indiavision short film fest . Sohan got best screen writer award in this short film at this first ala short film festival. [9] And his film Vanyam got best director award in shanthadevi puraskaram Kozhikode. [10]

Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail, known mononymously by the hypocorism Mammootty, is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam-language films. He has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English-language productions. In a career spanning five decades, he has appeared in more than 420 films, predominantly in lead roles. He is the recipient of several accolades, including three National Film Awards, nine Kerala State Film Awards, eleven Kerala Film Critics Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. For his contribution to film, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 1998. In 2022, he was honoured with Kerala Prabha Award, the second-highest civilian honour given by the Government of Kerala.
Irruppam Veedu Sasidaran was an Indian film director who made over 110 films predominantly in Malayalam, in addition to Tamil and Hindi languages. In 2015, he was awarded the J. C. T. V. Chandran is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and actor, predominantly working in Malayalam cinema. Born in a Malayali family in Telicherry, Chandran worked as a Reserve Bank of India employee before entering the film industry. He started his film career as an assistant director to P. A. Backer. He also acted the lead role in Backer's highly acclaimed political drama Kabani Nadi Chuvannappol (1975). Lal Jose is an Indian director, actor, producer and distributor who works in the Malayalam film industry. He started his career as an Assistant director in the Malayalam cinema. His directorial debut was with the 1998 film Oru Maravathoor Kanavu.

Ebbey Abraham, better known by his stage name Vysakh, is an Indian film director who works in Malayalam films and is known for several commercially successful films like Pokkiri Raja, Seniors, Mallu Singh, Pulimurugan and Madhuraja. He began his career as a television anchor and later as an associate director to Joshiy and Johny Antony. He debuted as an independent director in 2010 with Pokkiri Raja starring Mammootty and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Thoppil Joppan is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Johny Antony, starring Mammootty in the title role as a Kabaddi player. The film also features Mamta Mohandas, Andrea Jeremiah, Renji Panicker, Sudheer Sukumaran, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Harisree Ashokan, Alancier Ley Lopez, Saju Navodaya and Sreejith Ravi among others.
Puthan Panam is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film written, directed and co-produced by Ranjith, based on the issue of black money and demonetisation. It stars Mammootty, Baiju, Mamukkoya, Hareesh Perumanna, Nirmal Palazhi and Swaraj Gramika in prominent roles.
Pullikkaran Staraa is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language comedy film written and directed by Syamdhar and starring Mammootty, Deepti Sati and Asha Sarath. The film released on 1 September 2017, coinciding with Onam and Bakrid festivals.
Street Lights is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film directed by cinematographer Shamdat in his directorial debut. The film is produced by Mammootty under his banner Playhouse Motion Pictures and starring himself alongside a different supporting cast in each language. The film features Soubin Shahir, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Hareesh Perumanna, and Lijomol Jose, who play pivotal roles in Malayalam. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil with Prithvi Rajan, Pandi, Pandiarajan, and Sreeram playing pivotal roles.
Parole is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Sharrath Sandith in his feature film debut and written by Ajith Poojappura, based on a true story. It stars Mammootty, Ineya, Miya, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Siddique and Prabhakar. It began principal photography on 14 June 2017 in Bangalore. Loganathan Srinivasan was the cinematographer and Suresh Urs was the editor. Songs and score are composed by Sharreth.
Oru Kuttanadan Blog is an Indian Malayalam language comedy film directed and written by Sethu. The film marks Sethu's directorial debut and stars Mammootty, Shamna Kasim, Raai Laxmi, Anu Sithara, Ananya, Adil Ibrahim, Sunny Wayne, Jacob Gregory, Lalu Alex, and Nedumudi Venu. The background music was composed by Bijibal. The story is set in the backdrop of Kuttanad. The film was released on 14 September 2018.and it was a disaster in the theatre because of poor screenplay and casting.
Abrahaminte Santhathikal is an Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film released in 2018, directed by debutant Shaji Padoor and written by Haneef Adeni. The film stars Mammootty and Anson Paul in the lead roles and pivotal roles of Kaniha, Tarushi, Renji Panicker, Yog Japee and Kalabhavan Shajon. Shot in Ernakulam, principal photography began on 5 January 2018 and ended in March. Gopi Sundar scores music for the film, and Mahesh Narayan handles editing.

The film stars Aparna Nair in the lead role along with Anoop Ramesh, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sumith Samudra, Pauly Valsan and Omana Ouseph. The film is directed by Sohan Seenulal. The music is composed by Sejo John. The screenplay is based on a story written by Sohan Seenulal. The film attracted controversy when a real nun was raped in North India at the time the film was being shot.
Unda (transl. Bullet) is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language black comedy film directed by Khalid Rahman and scripted by Harshad from Rahman's story. Krishnan Sethukumar produced the film under the banners of Moviee Mill and Gemini Studios. The film stars Mammootty, Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory and Arjun Ashokan. The story is based on a real incident that occurred at the time of the 2014 Lok Sabha election, when a police unit from Kerala was sent to a Maoist affected area of Chhattisgarh as part of election duty. Sajith Purushan was the film's cinematographer, and its soundtrack and score were composed by Prashant Pillai.
