As a result she had a nomadic lifestyle growing up, living in both the United States, France and Belgium. She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1964, and had her début the same year in the play Boyfriend at Oslo Nye Teater. She has since acted both at Torshovteatret, Hålogaland Teater and Nationaltheatret, while all the while working as an instructor at Teaterhøyskolen. In 2006 she was hired as a professor here, as the first of her kind with an acting background, not an academic one.

Touraj Keshtkar, better known under his stage name Tooji, is a Norwegian-Iranian singer, painter, model and television host. Tooji represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan and finished 26th (last) in the final. Beginning with his single "Cocktail", he also started using kanji characters 冬至 in his artistic identity. The characters refer to Winter Solstice, celebrated around December 21 of each year.
Margit Johnsen Godø,, nicknamed Malta-Margit, was a Norwegian sailor in the merchant navy. For her service on a merchant vessel in convoy to Malta in 1942 she was awarded the St. Olav's Medal with Oak Branch and several other gallantry decorations. Johnsen continued her work in the Norwegian merchant fleet until 1960. Her story is told in maritime and wartime history as an example of Norwegian women's effort during World War II.

Skjær i sjøen (Obstacles) is a Norwegian romantic drama film from 1965 directed by Knut Andersen. The film is about an aging author that has retired to a deserted place in Southern Norway. He is divorced and burdened by his own problems. When his cheerful teenage daughter and two of her friends come to visit, the spark gradually returns to his life. The main roles are played by Henki Kolstad, Tone Danielsen, Solfrid Heier, and Kai Remlov. It is based on Arthur Omre's short story "Sensommer".
