Soli Ropati

Soli Ropati (born 19 May 1997) [1] is a Samoan netball player who plays as a wing defence. [1] She has represented Samoa internationally as part of the Samoa national netball team.

Ropati plays for City West Falcons in the Victorian Netball League. [2]

In 2017 she was captain of the Samoa under-21 netball team for the 2017 International Youth Netball Series, [3] and then vice-captain for the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup in Gaborone, Botswana. [4] In November 2017 she was selected for the Samoa national netball team for its tour of Scotland. [5] [6] In 2019 she played in the 2019 Netball World Cup. [7] In 2022 she was selected for the PacificAus Sports Netball Series, [8] and then for the Oceania World Cup Qualifiers. [9]

In 2022 she won the Ballarat Football Netball League's Sally McLean Medal. [10] [11]

Currently, players who have represented or played for the Tahiti national rugby team, are eligible to represent France. However, playing at a professional level can only enable this. At present there are several Tahitian professional rugby players abroad in France's Top 14 and Pro D2 professional competition.

The Samoa national netball team or Tifa Moana represent Samoa in international netball tests and competitions. The team are coached by Marcia Hardcastle and are co-captained by Opheira Harder-Karatau and Julianna Naoupu. As of 21 July 2019, Samoa are 16th in the INF World Rankings.

Grace Kara is a New Zealand netball player of Samoan descent. Kara played in the National Bank Cup for the Auckland Diamonds from 2005 to 2007. She continued playing in Auckland for the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship, starting in 2008. She is the younger sister of fellow Mystics player Rachel Rasmussen and she is also the older sister of Ann-Helen Rasmussen.

The Netball World Youth Cup Gaborone 2017 was the eighth staging of the tournament previously known as the World Youth Netball Championships, the premier competition in international netball, contested every four years. The 2017 tournament, to be held from 8–16 July, held in Gaborone, Botswana, which is first African region country to host the tournament. Matches are to be played at University of Botswana Indoor Stadium and Ditshupo Hall. Twenty nations competed at the championships.
