Somali National Bandy Association is the governing body for the winter team sports of bandy and rink bandy for Somalia. The organization was founded in 2013 and is formally a part of the Somali Olympic Committee. The same year, the Somalia national bandy team became the first squad from Africa to join the Federation of International Bandy. [1] The team consists of Somali nationals, mostly living in Sweden. It played in the 2014 Bandy World Championship. [2]
Bandy is a winter sport and ball sport played by two teams wearing ice skates on a large ice surface while using sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal.
The Bandy World Championship is a competition for the men's teams of bandy-playing nations. The tournament is administrated by the Federation of International Bandy. It is distinct from the Bandy World Cup, a club competition, and from the Women's Bandy World Championship. A Youth Bandy World Championship also exists separately from the senior competition and has competitions in both the male and female categories.
The Sweden national bandy team represents Sweden in the sport of bandy. There are two separate national teams, a national bandy team for men, and a national bandy team for women. This article deals chiefly with Sweden's national men's bandy team.

The Canada national bandy team refers to the bandy teams representing Canada. Presently only the national men's senior team competes. There is the men's national team and the women's national team. Both teams are overseen by Canada Bandy which is a member of the Federation of International Bandy (FIB). This article deals chiefly with the national men's team. Estonian national bandy team competed for the first time during the first period of Estonian independence, in the interwar years 1918–1940. Estonia played six international friendlies against Finland between 1923 and 1934, losing them all.
The Mongolian national bandy team is controlled by the Bandy Federation of Mongolia. The team took part in its first Bandy World Championship in 2006. They won the 1st match against Estonia, but lost all subsequent games including the match for the 4th place in Group B against the Netherlands. Mongolia thus was classified fifth in the B Group championship, ahead of only Estonia.

Abdi Bile from Las Anod is Somalia's most decorated athlete in history; Abdi Bile also holds the highest number of Somali national records. The longest continuously serving national team captains of Somalia's two most popular sports, basketball and football, are Yusuf Qaafow and Hasan Babay respectively.
Japan national bandy team is competing for Japan in the international bandy tournaments. Japan Bandy Federation was established in April 2011 and the national team made its world championship debut in 2012. After having competed every time since then, at the 2023 World Championship the team will not participate.
The 2014 Bandy World Championship was held between 26 January and 2 February 2014, in Irkutsk and Shelekhov, Russia. 17 nations participated in the tournament, playing in two divisions partitioned into two subdivisions. A team representing Somalia took part, the first squad from Africa to play in the Bandy World Championship.

The squad participated in the 2014 Bandy World Championship in Irkutsk, Russia, the first team from Africa to take part in bandy competitions. There used to be a team England in international bandy in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but when Britain eventually came back to the sport, it was decided to do it under the name Great Britain.
Anwar Hared is a Somali-Canadian ice hockey and bandy player. He played in the 2014 Bandy World Championship and scored the first ever goal for Somalia team, scoring in total two goals.
United States women's national bandy team represents the United States in the Women's Bandy World Championship. The team has participated in all Bandy World Championships for women since the first tournament in 2004.
Great Britain women's national bandy team represents the United Kingdom in the sport of bandy. It is governed by the Great Britain Bandy Association.

Czech Republic national bandy team is competing for the Czech Republic in the international bandy and rink bandy tournaments. It is run by the Czech Association of Bandy.
China national bandy team represents the People's Republic of China in international bandy and is governed by the China Bandy Federation. It made its World Championship debut in the 2015 Bandy World Championship, where they ended up in eighth place among nine teams in Group B. It played in the tournaments 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well. 2018 its Division, B, was played at home, in Harbin.
