German Bandy Federation (German: Deutscher Bandy-Bund) is the governing body for the sport of bandy in Germany. [1]
German Bandy Association was founded and became member of the Federation of International Bandy in 2013. [2] An earlier German bandy federation had been a member of FIB for just over a year in 1990-1991. [2] [3]
A national rink bandy championship has been played every year since the winter of 2014/15.
Germany managed to qualify for the A Division of the 2017 Bandy World Championship and was able to defend this position so the Germany national bandy team will be playing in the A Division in 2018 too.

Henrik Markus Rödl is a German professional basketball coach and former player, who currently serves as head coach for Al Ittihad Alexandria of the Egyptian Basketball Super League (EBSL). He played college basketball in the US for coach Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina. Born in Offenbach am Main, Hesse, he has been credited for his role in bringing other European players, including fellow German Ademola Okulaja, into the North Carolina basketball program.

Ukrainian Bandy and Rink bandy Federation known by the abbreviation, "UBRF", is the governing body for the winter team sports of bandy and rink bandy in Ukraine. The UBRF was founded in 2007 and is based in Dnipro. The federation became a member of the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) in 2008. In 2012 the organization developed its modern orientation towards the growth of bandy in the Ukraine.

2015 Bandy World Championship 2015 was the XXXVth Bandy World Championship. At the FIB congress held during the XXXIVth World Championship in 2014, it was announced that Khabarovsk in Russia had been elected as host city. It was also decided the Group A tournament would be played around the end of March/beginning of April, which means it would take place when the national bandy leagues in the major bandy playing countries, Finland, Norway, Russia and Sweden, would be finished for the season. Group B was played between February 1 and 6 and hit a new record attendance, already before the match for the bronze and the final.
Bandy in the United States is played mostly in Minnesota. The national team regularly plays in Division A of the Bandy World Championships. In terms of licensed athletes, it is the second biggest winter sport in the world. Bandy is a team sport played on ice with ice skates, a ball, and a curved stick on a large sheet of ice called a bandy field. In the United States, the national governing body for bandy is the American Bandy Association (ABA), also called USA Bandy which was established in 1981, the same year it became a member of the Federation of International Bandy (FIB). The USA Bandy Hall of Fame is located in Minnesota.
The Bandy Federation of Denmark was created in 2014 by two Danish brothers living in Sweden and playing bandy in Swedish clubs, Ole Gyldenlöve and Christian Gyldenlöve. It became a member of the Federation of International Bandy the same year. They hoped to be able to set up a Danish national team for the World Championship. However, this did not come true and the federation did not last. In 2017, it has been removed from the FIB member list.
China Bandy Federation, CBF, was founded on 13 December 2014. The Chinese Ice Hockey Association joined the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) in 2010 and governed bandy in China until it was replaced by the CBF.
The 2020 Bandy World Championship was to be an international sports tournament between men's national teams among bandy playing nations. It was to be the fortieth Bandy World Championship. While the Division B tournament was held from 1 to 6 March 2020, the Division A tournament was postponed a number of times and finally cancelled on 1 March 2022.
The 2023 Bandy World Championship was an international bandy tournament between bandy playing nations. The tournament was played in Åby, a subdivision of Växjö City in Sweden. Two separate tournaments for men's national teams and women's national teams took place. This Bandy World Championship marked an important development for the sport at the international level. For the first time the men's world championships took place at the same time and in the same arena as the Women's Bandy World Championship which served as the international female equivalent for the sport known as the 2023 Women's Bandy World Championship.
