Something Like an Autobiography is a 2023 Bangladeshi film directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. [2] [3] It was part of the Ministry of Love 12-film anthology film series for Bangladeshi streaming platform Chorki. [4] The title of the film, borrowed from Akira Kurosawa's book of same name, resonates with events that question the boundary between reality and fiction from the plot that is presumed by Variety to be inspired from Farooki and his wife Nusrat Imrose Tisha's personal lives. [5] [6] [7] [8] The film was produced by Redoan Rony and co-produced by Anna Katchko, former Film Bazaar chief Nina Lath, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Farooki. [5] It was co-written by Farooki and Tisha. The story builds up around the members of two families discovering the finer fabric of love when the headman of a family dies. The theme is that death does not always take things away: Sometimes it gives back. The film was selected as the Bangladeshi entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.

Ladies & Gentlemen is a Bangladeshi drama streaming television series created by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Starring Tasnia Farin as Sabila Hossain, an ordinary girl, the other main cast includes Afzal Hossain, Hasan Masood, Maria Nur, Partha Barua, Chanchal Chowdhury, Iresh Zaker, Mostafa Monwar, Mamunur Rashid and Saberi Alam. Unoloukik is a Bangladeshi anthology streaming television series written by Shibabrata Barman and directed by Robiul Alam Robi. Individual episodes explore the psychoanalytic journey of the human mind. There are five episodes in this series. The first episode, Moribar Holo Taar Shwaad, premiered on 12 July 2021, and the last episode, Dwikhondito, on 12 August 2021 on OTT platform Chorki.

Mostafa Monwar is a Bangladeshi actor, writer, and screenwriter known for starring as the protagonist in Live from Dhaka, for which he received 2016 Singapore International Film Festival awards for Best Performance.

Pavel Areen is a Bangladeshi composer, sound engineer and Drummer he is best known as the former drummer of the rock band Chirkutt. He started his musical journey at a young age, performing at Shishu Academy and joining several bands. He learned sound engineering by himself and started creating jingles for television and radio. Pavel also built his own recording studio, contributing to projects such as Chirkutt's first album and various film scores. Pavel Areen was nominated for the Filmfare Awards East in the Best Background Score category for the film No Bed of Roses (Doob). Additionally, he won the Channel i Music Award in 2018 for his work as a sound engineer.

Ministry of Love is a project by Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki to produce 12 love movies of 12 film directors. In every film, there will be a shadow of love in the personal life of the makers. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki is the co-producer of the project. Films will be released in Chorki in phases between 2023 and 2024.

<i>840</i> (film) 2024 film

840, also known as Democracy Private Limited, is an upcoming political satire Bengali film directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. It is set to release in theaters across Bangladesh on 13 December 2024. According to the director, this film serves as a follow-up to his 2007 TV series 420, making 840 a 'double up' of that series.
