Zhuang Yong is a retired freestyle swimmer from China, whose best performance was winning the gold medal in the 100 m freestyle at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. It was China's first gold medal in swimming. Four years earlier in Seoul she won China's first ever Olympic medal in swimming, ending up second in the final of the Women's 100 m Freestyle, behind East Germany's Kristin Otto.

As of January 2010, Kim is ranked no. 84 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Kim is a member of the table tennis team for Abrokkang Sports Club, and is coached and trained by Ri To Yong. She is also left-handed, and uses the offensive, classic grip.

The election of deputies to the 14th Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) was held in North Korea on 10 March 2019. The elections were announced on 8 January 2019. With only one candidate on the ballot in each constituency, outside observers considered it a show election. 687 deputies to the SPA were elected. Kim Jong-un did not stand for election, marking the first time that a North Korean leader did not participate as a candidate.
