Sons of Angels were a hard rock band from Oslo, Norway. Their first album was Cowgirl, which was also the title of their first single. [1]

The members were Solli, Torstein, Lars K., and Geir Digernes, plus Staffan William-Olsson, [1] who is Swedish. They released their first album in 1990 on May 11. Their first record sold over 150 000 copies. They made a music video of the song "Cowgirl". They returned in 2001 with a second album, Slumber with the Lion.

Band members

Notes

American / Japanese rock group Crush 40 (the main artists behind well known theme songs to Sonic the Hedgehog video games such as "Open Your Heart" from Sonic Adventure) were originally known as Sons of Angels. They did release an album entitled "Sons of Angels - Thrill of the Feel" in 2000. The band had to change their name later to Crush 40 due to the fact that there were already another Sons of Angels band in existence.

The Kids was a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim, formed in 1979. Their best known song is Hun Er Forelska i lærer'n, in 1980. Norske jenter is another hit. The band released music in Sweden with Swedish language versions of the songs.

The Real Thing is a jazz band from Oslo, Norway, founded in 1992 when Sigurd Køhn and Palle (Paul) Wagnberg formed the forerunner, The B3 Blues Band with Vidar Busk and Hamlet Pedersen. They changed the name when Staffan William-Olsson and Fredrik Carl Størmer joined the band. Størmer was replaced by Torstein Ellingsen in 1995, and Ellingsen again by Børre Dalhaug in 1998. Due to the sudden death of the band's saxophonist Sigurd Køhn in the tsunami in Thailand in December 2004, The Real Thing was hibernating until a reunion in 2010. In the 2010s, Hermund Nygård replaced Dalhaug on the drums, with Dave Edge playing the saxophone.

"Conquistador" is a song by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, featured on their fourth studio album Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013). Written by lead vocalist Jared Leto, who also produced the song with Steve Lillywhite, "Conquistador" features combative lyrics and call-and-response verses. Described as the "wild child" of the album, it is an alternative rock song with influences and elements from electronica. Thirty Seconds to Mars premiered the song on Vevo on May 2, 2013, two weeks before the album's release.
