Sachein is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by John, and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. It is a remake of the director's 2002 Telugu film Neetho. The film stars Vijay in the title role along with Genelia and Bipasha Basu, while Vadivelu, Santhanam, and Raghuvaran play supporting roles. The film marked the Tamil film debut of Bipasha Basu. The score and soundtrack is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Jeeva and V. T. Vijayan handled the cinematography and editing respectively.
Billa is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Vishnuvardhan. It is a remake of the 1980 film of the same name starring Rajnikanth, which itself is a remake of 1978 Hindi film Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan. Mozhi (transl. Language) is a 2007 Indian Tamil language musical romantic comedy film written and directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Prakash Raj. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jyothika, Prakash Raj, and Swarnamalya. The film's plot is about Karthik (Prithviraj), who works as a musician in films. He falls in love with a deaf and mute girl, Archana (Jyothika), but she considers him her friend and disapproves of his love. The rest of the story revolves around Archana accepting Karthik's love.
Thambikku Entha Ooru is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Rajasekhar and written by Panchu Arunachalam. The film stars Rajinikanth, Madhavi and Sulakshana. It revolves around a spoilt rich man who is forced to live in a village for one year to learn discipline. The film was released on 20 April 1984. Anbe Vaa is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran and B. Saroja Devi, with S. A. Ashokan, Nagesh, T. R. Ramachandran, P. D. Sambandam, Manorama and T. P. Muthulakshmi in supporting roles. Based on the 1961 American film Come September, it follows JB, a wealthy industrialist who goes on vacation to his bungalow in Shimla, only to discover that his caretaker and his wife have left for Kasi after renting the bungalow to a family. The rest of the film revolves around JB's response to this situation.
Veppam (transl. Heat) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by newcomer Anjana Ali Khan, starring Nani, Nithya Menen, Karthik Kumar, and Bindu Madhavi. The film marks Nani's Tamil debut. The story narrates events from the slum areas of Chennai, showcasing characters and their struggles. The film, jointly produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon's Photon Kathaas and R. S. Infotainment, had been in production for over one year. The film released on 29 July 2011, while a dubbed Telugu version, titled Sega, released simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. Veppam received mixed reviews.
Nee Ishtam Leda Naa Ishtam is a 2012 Telugu-language romantic action film directed by Prakash Toleti and produced by Paruchuri Kiriti. The film began production during September 2017 and was released on 18 October 2018.
Pattabhiraman is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam and written by Dinesh Pallath. It stars Jayaram, Miya George, Sheelu Abraham, Prem Kumar and Sai Kumar. Later the film was dubbed into Telugu as Sarkaru Vaari Officer.
