Os is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It was located in the Midhordland region, just south of Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Due to its proximity to Bergen, Os experienced strong population growth. The administrative centre of Os was the village of Osøyro. It is the largest settlement in the municipality, with over 60% of the municipal residents living here. Other large villages in Os included Hagavik, Halhjem, Søfteland, Søre Øyane, and Søvik.

Ålvund is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the beginning of the Ålvundfjorden (an extension of the Trongfjorden, about 8 kilometres northwest of the village of Ålvundeidet and the Innerdalen valley. The river Ålvundelva flows down the Innerdalen valley, through the village of Ålvundeidet, and empties into the fjord at the village of Ålvund. The Norwegian National Road 70 runs through Ålvund on its way from the village of Sunndalsøra north to the village of Tingvoll and on the town of Kristiansund.

Neset or Nesset is a village area in the municipality of Levanger in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on a peninsula in the Trondheimsfjord just west of the town of Levanger, and north of Alstadhaug. Its population in 1999 was 245, but since 2001 it has been considered a part of the town of Levanger so separate population statistics are no longer tracked.
Halhjem is a village in Bjørnafjorden municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is a suburb of the municipal centre of Osøyro, located immediately to the north. The village is the site of an important ferry quay along the European route E39 highway which runs between the major cities of Bergen and Stavanger. The population of Halhjem in 1999 was 991, but since 2001 it is considered a part of the urban area of Osøyro.
Breistein is a village in the borough of Åsane in Bergen municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village lies along the Sørfjorden on the eastern part of the municipality, across the fjord from the village of Valestrandsfossen. The European route E39 highway passes along the western edge of the village.
