Soso Liparteliani (born 3 February 1971) is a Georgian judoka. At the 1996 Summer Olympics he won a bronze medal in the men's half middleweight category. In doing so, Liparteliani became the first Olympic medalist for Georgia. [1] He is the uncle of Georgian judoka Eteri Liparteliani, who has competed at the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. [2] [3]

He was silver medalist 1993 European championships in Athens.

Bekir Ozlu née Betkil Shukvani was born in Georgia but changed to Turkey in 2015. For Georgia he won European medals U17 and U20 and silver at the Senior European in 2011 in Istanbul. He won the European team title with Georgia in 2007. He won World Cups since 2011 and the Grand Slam of Rio in 2012. Ozlu won gold at the European Open in Minsk in 2017. He captured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017. Ozlu took gold at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017.

Beka Gviniashvili is a Georgian judoka who became European Junior Champion in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and won the World Junior Championships in 2013 in Ljubljana and in 2015 in Abu Dhabi and EYOF in 2011. He also became the U23 European Championship in 2016 in Tel Aviv. With the Georgian Juniors, he won the World and European titles. He is a promising rising judoka. He placed 5th at the 2015 World Judo Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan after losing in the bronze medal final against one of his colleagues Varlam Liparteliani. Vazha Margvelashvili is a Georgian judoka. He won the gold medal at the 2016 and the 2024 European Judo Championships, and the silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the men's 66 kg event.

Robert Nikolaevich Mshvidobadze is a Russian judoka of Georgian descent. He is the 2017 European gold medalist in the ‍–‍60 kg division.

Tato Grigalashvili is a Georgian judoka. He won the silver medal in the men's 81 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. He is a four-time medalist, including three gold medals, in the men's 81 kg event at the World Judo Championships. He is also a three-time gold medalist in his event at the European Judo Championships.

Eteri Liparteliani is a Georgian judoka. She is a two-time Olympian and competed in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and the women's 57 kg and mixed team event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Liparteliani is also a World Championships bronze medalist and a three-time European champion, having won the mixed team events at the European Championships and European Games, and the women's 57 kg event at the European Championships Open in 2023.
