The Shizit was a digital hardcore act from Seattle, Washington, USA, initially formed by J.P. Anderson and Brian Shrader in 1999. The music was an intense mix of gabber, breakbeat, drum and bass, hardcore techno, hardcore and heavy metal guitars, amped up with aggressive political lyrics. The band released two CDs on mp3.com, and as it was spread quickly among underground sources, the band steadily built up their following. In 2001, they began work on their third album, "Soundtrack for the Revolution"; The album was finally released at E115 Records, a Canadian indie label later that year, and tracks from it were released on Alec Empire's "Don't Fuck With US" compilation. The band also joined Alec on his European tour, and the band added turntablist Jason Alberts. In 2003, the band announced they were disbanding due to personal disputes between Anderson and Shrader. A posthumous album was released on D-Trash Records, with artists remixing the "Soundtrack for the Revolution" album as Remixed for the Revolution.
Edward Joel Kowalczyk is an American singer, songwriter, musician and a founding member of the band Live. After leaving Live in 2009, he launched a solo career. His first album, Alive, was released worldwide in June and July 2010. Ed rejoined Live in December 2016.
The Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern Cowboys' Vulgar Hits! is a compilation album by the heavy metal band Pantera, released on September 23, 2003, two months before their breakup. The title of the compilation is a combination of the titles of their first four major label albums. The compilation includes an audio CD of fifteen previously released tracks and one previously unreleased track, plus a DVD with twelve music videos, two of them live. The tracks on the CD include songs from all six major label albums, as well as their cover of Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" from the Detroit Rock City soundtrack and their cover of Black Sabbath's "Hole in the Sky" from the Revolution Is My Name EP, all in chronological order. This compilation album reached #38 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA in August 2004 and platinum in January 2006.

Albums for the video game Wild Arms contain music from the original title of the Wild Arms series developed by Japanese software company Media.Vision. Two separate albums, one released alongside the 1996 PlayStation game, and the other ten years later, contain the original background music from the game, while a single drama album contains a spoken-word interpretation of events in the game. All music featured on each album was composed by Michiko Naruke and carries a contemporary American Western feel intermixed with electronic instrumentation. As each album was only released commercially in Japan, track names contain original Japanese character names and spelling.

The Final Fantasy VIII Original Soundtrack, a compilation of all music in the game, was released on four Compact Discs by DigiCube in Japan, and by Square EA in North America. The album peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 and spawned four singles, "Fallin'" by Teenage Fanclub and De La Soul, "Another Body Murdered" by Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., "Just Another Victim" by Helmet and House of Pain, and "Judgment Night" by Biohazard and Onyx.

A Star Is Born is the soundtrack album to the 2018 musical film of the same name, performed by its stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. It was released on October 5, 2018, by Interscope Records. Gaga and Cooper collaborated on the soundtrack album with an assortment of country musicians, including Lukas Nelson, who also stars in the film as a member of Cooper's band. For the more pop-oriented songs on the soundtrack, Gaga teamed up with recurring collaborator DJ White Shadow. The soundtrack also includes contributions from Jason Isbell, Mark Ronson, Diane Warren, and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow. Commercially, it has topped the charts in more than 15 countries, attaining gold and platinum certifications from many of them, while selling over two million copies worldwide. The tracks "Shallow" and "Always Remember Us This Way" have been released as singles.
