The South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL) is a group of amateur soccer competitions in South Australia. It consists of seven divisions on Saturday, and eight divisions on Sunday. [1] The competition was founded in 1965 as the South Australian Sunday Industrial League (SASIL), when the concept of playing sport on a Sunday was considered taboo. [2]

Football Victoria is the state governing body for soccer in Victoria, Australia. It is affiliated with Football Australia, the sport's national governing body.
Football NSW is the governing body for soccer in the Australian state of New South Wales, with the exception of the northern regions of NSW. Football NSW is a member of the national governing body, Football Australia. Football NSW's premier football competition is the National Premier Leagues NSW. The premier futsal competition is the Futsal Premier League. Prior to 1 April 2007, Football NSW was known as Soccer NSW.
Soccer in South Australia is a popular participation and spectator sport. It is primarily organised by Football South Australia, a member of Football Australia.
Soccer in Western Australia is the most participated code of football, though it is a distant second in overall interest behind Australian rules football in Western Australia. It is governed by Football West. Football West runs the National Premier Leagues Western Australia, State Leagues, Sunday League and Metropolitan League. Modbury SC, commonly known as Modbury Jets, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia. Its senior men's teams currently compete in the National Premier Leagues South Australia and senior women's team in the Women's State League. The club also fields junior teams for girls and boys. The seniors play their home matches at Smith Partners Stadium in Ridgehaven, north of Adelaide and the Juniors play at Burragah Reserve, Modbury North.
Virtus Soccer Club, playing in modern times as the Northern Demons, is a soccer club from Port Pirie, South Australia. Northern Demons play in the Football Federation of South Australia (FFSA) State League. Their home ground is Byrne Park, situated on Magor Road, Port Pirie. Together with their three senior teams, the club has an Under 12,14, and 15 team competing in the Football Federation of South Australia Junior Premier League. Their cross-town rivals are the Savoy Soccer Club, formerly known as Port Pirie City, who play in the South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL).
Para Hills Knights Soccer Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Para Hills West, a northern suburb of Adelaide. The club was founded on 24 March 1964, joining the Federation in 1966. The club currently plays in National Premier Leagues South Australia, winning promotion to the second tier of Australian soccer in 2023. Originally playing at Nelson Road Reserve in Para Hills, the club has been based out of their current home ground, The Paddocks, since 1986.
Adelaide Comets FC are a soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia. The club competes in the National Premier Leagues South Australia. They are based in Adelaide's western suburb of Mile End and play home games at Santos Stadium.
Seaford Rangers are a soccer club from Seaford, South Australia. Seaford play in the South Australian State League. Their home ground is at Karingal Reserve.
