The Southcore Financial Centre (SFC) is a building located in 120 Bremner Blvd, Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building is central to the redevelopment of the area in a new neighborhood known simply as South Core. The SFC is composed of two towers (PwC Tower and Bremner Tower) totaling 1.4 million square feet. The building is managed by QuadReal Property Group and is connected to Union Station, Go Train, UP Express, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Rogers Centre, and Scotiabank Arena. [1]

In October 2013, Delta Hotels announced a new flagship hotel central to South Core. [2]

The former Toronto Sun Building, at 333 King Street East at Sherbourne was built as the home of one of Toronto's daily English language newspapers, the Toronto Sun. The mural was 55 metres wide and 7.6 metres high, covering a long brick wall along Front Street. It was done in 1993 for the Sun by artist John Hood to celebrate the bicentennial of the founding of York. It depicts two hundred years of historic events in the city.

Until 2014, the establishment was occupied by the New Broadview House Hotel, a hotel and boarding house housing low-income persons with a strip club named Jilly's on its ground level. The Spadina Hotel was one of the names of the hotels operated at 460 King Street West, in Toronto, at the corner of Spadina Avenue and King Street. The hotel was built in late 1873, the three storey Victorian building featuring a small clock on the east facade. A four-storey annex was later built to the north of the hotel. The Simpson Tower, located at 401 Bay Street, is the 38th-tallest building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Completed in 1968 by architect John B. In 1978, as part of a corporate takeover, the Simpson Tower became the property of the Hudson's Bay Company. Originally a large railway switching yard near the Toronto waterfront, including the CNR Spadina Roundhouse and the CPR John Roundhouse, it has since been redeveloped and today is home to mostly mixed-used development, including the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre. The lands were owned and maintained by the Canadian National Railway and later transferred to the federal crown corporation Canada Lands Company.
