I: Inamura Jane was originally released under the name of "Southern All Stars & All Stars (サザンオールスターズ&オールスターズ, Sazan Ōru Sutāzu ando Ōru Sutāzu)", is not "Southern All Stars". It is a soundtrack album for the same titled movie which was directed by Keisuke Kuwata. Nowadays, it is officially counted as the 10th original album by Southern All Stars.

She has been referred to as "the diva of the Heisei era" and the "Queen of Japanese Pop", and has been recognized as having the influence and career impact domestically equivalent to artists such as Janet Jackson and Madonna in Western music and pop culture.

Kobukuro (コブクロ), a Japanese band, formed in 1998 and made its major label debut in 2001. The name is a portmanteau of the two family names, Kentarō Kobuchi and Shunsuke Kuroda.

Do As Infinity discography

The discography of Do As Infinity, a J-pop and rock band formed in Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan, consists of 13 studio albums, 5 live albums, 10 compilation albums, 31 singles, 19 video releases, and 39 music videos. Composer Dai Nagao of Avex Trax hosted auditions for a band in 1999, eventually choosing Tomiko Van as lead vocalist and Ryo Owatari as guitarist. The trio released their first single "Tangerine Dream" in 1999 and released three more singles between 1999 and 2000 which appeared on their debut album Break of Dawn (2000). Break of Dawn did well commercially, peaking at No. 3 on the Japanese Oricon albums chart. In December 2000, Nagao decided to devote all his time to composing the music and no longer appeared at live events. Do As Infinity's next two studio albums released in 2001, New World and Deep Forest, both peaked at No. 1 on Oricon. The band released their first greatest hits compilation album Do the Best in 2002, which also charted at No. 1. Do As Infinity's next three studio albums charted in the top 5 of Oricon: True Song (2002) at No. 5, Gates of Heaven (2003) at No. 3, and Need Your Love (2005) also at No. 3.

The discography of the Japanese idol group Morning Musume consists of fifteen studio albums, five compilation albums, and sixty-four singles. Ever since its establishment in 1997, the group has experienced frequent line-up changes, and currently consists of fourteen members: Mizuki Fukumura (leader), Erina Ikuta (sub-leader), Ayumi Ishida (sub-leader), Masaki Sato, Sakura Oda, Miki Nonaka, Maria Makino, Akane Haga, Kaede Kaga, Reina Yokoyama, Chisaki Morito, Rio Kitagawa, Homare Okamura, and Mei Yamazaki. Misia discography

The discography of Japanese R&B singer Misia consists of nine studio albums, three compilation albums, one extended play (EP), one live album, six remix albums, twenty-six singles, twelve promotional singles, eighteen video albums and thirty-seven music videos. In 1997, Misia signed a recording contract with BMG Japan and joined the then up-and-coming talent agency, Rhythmedia. Under the sub-label Arista Japan, Misia released her first single, "Tsutsumikomu Yō ni..." in February 1998, followed by "Hi no Ataru Basho" in May. In June, her debut album, Mother Father Brother Sister, opened at number three on the Oricon chart. The album peaked at number one three weeks later and stayed in the top five for eleven consecutive weeks. Mother Father Brother Sister was certified double million and won a Japan Record Award for Best Album, as well as a Japan Gold Disc Award for Pop Album of the Year. In 2000, Misia's second studio album, Love Is the Message, debuted at number one and was certified double million. It won a Japan Record Award for Best Album and a Japan Gold Disc Award for Pop Album of the Year. The album spawned three top ten hits: "Believe," "Wasurenai Hibi" and "Sweetness." Misia's first remix album, Misia Remix 2000 Little Tokyo, was released three months later and shot to number one. It sold over 800,000 copies and is the second best-selling remix album of all time in Japan.

Japanese singer Rina Aiuchi has released eight studio albums, four compilation albums, two remix albums, 43 singles and 13 video albums. In 2000, Aiuchi released her debut studio album, Be Happy. It has sold more than 306,000 copies nationwide and yielded four singles: "Close to Your Heart", "It's Crazy for You", "Ohh! Paradise Taste!!", and "Koi wa Thrill, Shock, Suspense". A year later, Aiuchi released her second studio album Power of Words, which has sold 420,000 copies nationwide and became her best-selling album.
