The Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles women's basketball team represents the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana, United States. The Screaming Eagles currently compete in the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference, having started a transition from Division II on July 1, 2022. Under NCAA rules for reclassifying programs, the Screaming Eagles will not be eligible to compete in the NCAA tournament until the 2026–27 season. The Screaming Eagles will be eligible to play in the WNIT, which unlike its men's counterpart is not operated by the NCAA.

The California Baptist Lancers men's basketball team represents California Baptist University in the Western Athletic Conference. The team made the jump into Division I basketball on July 1, 2018. They are currently led by head coach Rick Croy and play at the Fowler Events Center, which opened in 2017 and replaced the Van Dyne Gym. The men's basketball program was ineligible to play in the NCAA Division I Tournament during their transition period, although they were eligible for other tournaments such as the College Basketball Invitational. The 2022–23 Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles men's basketball team represented the University of Southern Indiana in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Screaming Eagles, led by third-year head coach Stan Gouard, played their home games at Screaming Eagles Arena in Evansville, Indiana as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 16–17, 9–9 in OVC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. As the No. 7 seed in the OVC tournament, they lost to SIU Edwardsville in the first round. The Screaming Eagles received an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational as the No. 15 seed. There they lost to San Jose State in the first round.
