Southland C-9 School District is a public school located in the southernmost portion of the Missouri Bootheel in Dunklin County. It is a consolidated school district made up of the towns of Arbyrd and Cardwell.
The Southland C-9 school district is composed of preschool through twelfth grade with all grades located on one general campus.
Sports offered at Southland include Boys basketball and baseball as well as Girls volleyball, softball, cheerleading, and basketball. [1] Southland's school mascot is a Confederate style rebel man and the school colors are red, gray, and white.

Winton is a rural town in Southland, New Zealand. It is located close to the east bank of the Oreti River, 30 kilometres north of Invercargill and 50 kilometres south of Lumsden. The town is named after Thomas Winton, a local stockman who lived and farmed in the area in the 1850s. The district thrived with the development of sheep and fat-lamb farms in the early 1900s. Later, dairy farming became the staple economy, although the town has also seen sawmills, and flax and linen-flax industries.

Frederick Douglass High School is an alternative public high school located in Columbia, Missouri. Douglass enrolls students 9-12 from throughout the Columbia Public Schools District. The school competes in MSHSAA 4A. Their sports include basketball and track and field. The school differs from typical high schools due to providing programs including child development and parenting classes and a day care facility. It was built in 1917, and is a two-story, Classical Revival style brick building on a raised basement. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as Fred Douglass School. Recently, it was closed, restored, and modernized, reopening in the Fall of 2017. It is one of four High Schools in the Columbia Public School District.

The Campus serves portions of Chicago Heights, Country Club Hills, Matteson, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Richton Park, and Tinley Park. The school serves sections of elementary school districts 162, 161, 160, and 159. It is a part of Rich Township District 227, along with Rich Township Fine Arts Campus.

The Sam Houston Bearkats are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas. Sam Houston's colors are orange and white and their sports teams' nickname is the Bearkats. Sam Houston sports teams participate in NCAA Division I in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), having joined that conference on July 1, 2021 after spending the previous 34 years in the Southland Conference. SHSU's primary rival is Stephen F. Austin (SFA) and tensions between the two schools can run high before major sporting events that pit one against the other.

The UT Arlington Mavericks are the athletic teams that represent the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. The Mavericks currently compete in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference in 15 varsity sports, but will move to the Western Athletic Conference in July 2022. The number rose to 15 in the fall of 2017 as the University announced women's golf will begin their first season of competition.

Thunder Mountain High School is one of three public high schools in Juneau, Alaska. It was opened for the 2008–2009 school year. In its first year in operation it served grades 9–11; the Juneau School District wanted seniors to finish at their existing high schools. Thunder Mountain High School is located in the Mendenhall Valley section of Juneau and draws most of its students from this area, although under an open enrollment policy, high school students anywhere in the district may attend any of the three high schools.
