Anyaa Sowutuom, popularly simply called Sowutuom, is a suburban town near Omanjor in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. [1] In 2012, Ga Central District was created with Sowutuom as its capital. [2]

The Greater Accra Region has the smallest area of Ghana's 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of 3,245 square kilometres. This is 1.4 per cent of the total land area of Ghana. It is the most populated region, with a population of 5,455,692 in 2021, accounting for 17.7 per cent of Ghana's total population.

The Pentecost University is a private university located at Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was founded by The Church of Pentecost (COP) and evolved from The Pentecost Bible College which initially trained only Lay Leaders and full-time Ministers for the COP. On May 22, 2003, J. A. Kufuor, the former President of Ghana, inaugurated PUC at the Sowutuom campus. The first PUC Council was inducted on May 6, 2004. Pentvars was accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB), Ghana in November 2004 and awarded its Presidential Charter on May 28, 2020, by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana. Prior to receiving a Presidential Charter, the university was affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Cape Coast, and University of Ghana. On June 1, 2020, the university announced the appointment of Rev. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, who replaces Apostle Daniel Okyere Walker, as the first Vice-Chancellor since the university became fully-fledged.

Pokuase, also spelled Pokoasi, is a suburb of Accra, the capital city of Ghana and spans the area from Pokuase, leading off the Accra-Kumasi motorway on the right coming from Accra central; and leading off the motorway at Pokuase Junction and rising to ‘Okai Kwei Hill’, on the left coming from town. It is a mixture of lively retail shopping areas, with local stores, bars or 'drinking spots', bus/taxi stations, and a market. It also has many hotels, guest houses and rental apartments- such as the eco-chic Legassi Gardens Apartments-, and 'high-end' developing residential estates, such as Ofankor Hills Estates and Franko Estates, amongst many others; as well as the long-established executive gated community of ACP Estates.; and HFS Estates which borders the erstwhile Gua Koo Sacred Grove in Pokuase.

Taifa is a town in the Ga East Municipal District, a district in the Greater Accra Region of south-eastern Ghana near the capital Accra. Taifa is the twenty-sixth largest settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 68,459 people. Taifa is located in the northwest suburbs area of Accra. It has a breakpoint on a railway line and a small park located on the northern edge of the location of the Taifa Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. At the Ghana 2000 census of 26 March 2000, the population was 26,145 inhabitants living in the city. Projections of 1 January 2007 estimated the population to be 48,927 inhabitants.
