Spirit Air is an Indian commuter airline founded in 2008. After receiving its operating license in 2009, the company operated charter flights using Cessna 172 and Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft until 2015. [1] In October 2022, the airline received certification from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (India) to operate scheduled commuter air flights.

In 2023 the company announced its intention to acquire six Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander turboprop aircraft from manufacturer, Britten-Norman, a United Kingdom based supplier. [2]
