Amandala was established in 1969 as the print organ of the now-defunct United Black Association for Development (UBAD), but has been politically independent since the mid-1970s. Mr "Mose" Hyde currently hosts his morning show with Sharon Marin. Together they create an inviting atmosphere for Belizeans to call into the show and give their input about past and current occurrences.
Philip Stanley Wilberforce Goldson was a Belizean newspaper editor, activist and politician. He served in the House of Representatives of Belize as member for the Albert constituency from 1965 to 1998 and twice as a minister. Goldson was a founding member of both of Belize's current major political parties, the People's United Party (PUP) in the 1950s and the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the 1970s. He was also the leading spokesman of the hardline anti-Guatemalan territorial claims National Alliance for Belizean Rights party in the 1990s.

Knocking Our Own Ting is a satirical pamphlet published by Belizean writer Evan X Hyde in 1969 discussing the Battle of St. George's Caye, a naval battle off the coast of Belize which occurred in 1798. The battle had been celebrated since 1898 on September 10 as St. George's Caye Day, with Hyde's work seeking to question the traditional celebration of the engagement.
The Belize Basketball Federation (BBF) is the governing body for basketball in Belize and a recognized member of FIBA. The BBF functions as a nonprofit organization that officially represents Belize in the sport of basketball. It consists of nine districts and school associations across Belize and manages all national teams. The league is affiliated with the Belize Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association and the National Sports Council of Belize.
The monarchy of Belize is a system of government in which a hereditary monarch is the sovereign and head of state of Belize. The current Belizean monarch and head of state since 8 September 2022, is King Charles III. As sovereign, he is the personal embodiment of the Belizean Crown. Although the person of the sovereign is shared with 14 other independent countries within the Commonwealth of Nations, each country's monarchy is separate and legally distinct. As a result, the current monarch is officially titled Kingof Belize and, in this capacity, he and other members of the royal family undertake public and private functions as representatives of the Belizean state. However, the King is the only member of the royal family with any constitutional role.

He is a member of the People's United Party and has represented the Lake Independence constituency in the Belize House of Representatives since 2015. He currently serves as the Deputy Leader of the People's United Party.
Charles Bartlett Hyde,, is a Belizean politician. He served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 30 November 1979 to 9 November 1984. During the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II on her silver coronation anniversary in 1977, Hyde was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire. In 1998 he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
