The Mohawk River is a 149-mile-long (240 km) river in the U.S. state of New York. It is the largest tributary of the Hudson River. The Mohawk flows into the Hudson in Cohoes, New York, a few miles north of the city of Albany. The river is named for the Mohawk Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy. It is a major waterway in north-central New York.
The Chenango River is a 90-mile-long (140 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in central New York in the United States. It drains a dissected plateau area in upstate New York at the northern end of the Susquehanna watershed.

The West Canada Creek is a 76-mile-long (122 km) river in upstate New York, United States. West Canada Creek is an important water way in Hamilton, Oneida, and Herkimer counties, draining the south part of the Adirondack Mountains before emptying into the Mohawk River near the Village of Herkimer. The name "Canada" is derived from a Native American word for "village" (Kanata).
New York State Route 9N (NY 9N) is a north–south state highway in northeastern New York in the United States. It extends from an intersection with U.S. Route 9 (US 9), NY 29, and NY 50 in the city of Saratoga Springs to a junction with US 9 and NY 22 in the Clinton County hamlet of Keeseville. At 143.49 miles (230.92 km) in total length, NY 9N is the longest letter-suffixed route in the state. It is concurrent with its parent route for 1 mile (1.6 km) in the village of Lake George and for three blocks in the hamlet of Elizabethtown.

South Dix is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is part of the Dix Range, named after John A. Dix (1798–1879), New York Secretary of State in 1837, and later Governor. The name is being changed to Carson Peak, after Russell M.L. Carson (1884–1961), author of Peaks and People of the Adirondacks. South Dix is flanked to the northeast by Grace Peak, to the northwest by Hough Peak, and to the southwest by Macomb Mountain.
Allen Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. It is part of the Marcy Group of the Great Range of the Adirondack Mountains, and is flanked to the north by Mount Skylight.
Saddleback Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is part of the Great Range of the Adirondack Mountains. The 0.2 mi (0.32 km) long summit ridge has peaks at each end with a pronounced dip between, giving it the profile of a saddle. Saddleback Mtn. is flanked to the southwest by Basin Mountain, and to the east by Gothics.
Mount Marshall is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. Originally named for Governor DeWitt Clinton, and then for Herbert Clark, it was renamed for wilderness activist Bob Marshall (1901–1939) after his death. Marshall is part of the MacIntyre Mountains. Mount Marshall is flanked to the northeast by Iroquois Peak, and faces Wallface Mountain to the northwest across Indian Pass.
Santanoni Peak is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is part of the Santanoni Mountains of the Adirondacks. The mountain's name is believed to be an Abenaki derivative of "Saint Anthony"; the first French fur traders and missionaries having named the area for Saint Anthony of Padua. Santanoni Peak is flanked to the north by Panther Peak, and to the southwest by Little Santanoni Mountain.
Lyon Mountain is a mountain located in Clinton County, New York, of which its peak is the highest point. The mountain is named for Nathaniel Lyon, an early settler of the area who moved from Vermont in 1803 and died circa 1850.
Wallface Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is named after the cliff on its southeastern side. Wallface is flanked to the west by MacNaughton Mountain, and faces Mount Marshall to the southeast across Indian Pass.
Indian Lake is a 12-mile (19 km) long, 4,255-acre (1,722 ha) lake with a southwest to northeast orientation in the towns of Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant in Hamilton County, in the Adirondack Park of New York State, in the United States. The hamlet of Indian Lake is located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the north end of Indian Lake. New York State Route 30 runs along the west shore of the lake. Most of the shore is part of the Forest Preserve. Indian Lake is fed by the Jessup River, and drains through the Indian River into Lake Abanakee, and from there through the Indian River to the Hudson River.
Kinderhook Creek is a 49.0-mile-long (78.9 km) tributary to Stockport Creek, an inlet of the Hudson River in the United States. From its source in Hancock, Massachusetts, the creek runs southwest through the Taconic Mountains into Rensselaer County, New York, and then into Columbia County. It flows through the towns of Stephentown, New Lebanon, Nassau, Chatham, Kinderhook and Stuyvesant to its mouth at Stockport Creek in the town of Stockport.
